At what point do you think something has to happen for these two young guys.. I understand they are both rookies blah blah blah but watching games lately you need to be able to roll 4 lines and when it’s those two centred by Chafe on the ice it’s nerve racking. In a year where you expect to go deep, we need a little more secondary scoring, can’t rely on the big three every game. Because those damn Knights are right on our heels and you know they will make moves to push them over the top.

The Attacks 9th best scoring forward is Julian Fantino at 9 pts in 22 games, which equals to 0.41 pts a game.

Is there another team in the league that has the 9th forward scoring at that rate?

Ive looked, have you?

You're concerned about 4th line scoring?

From your own words......'we need a little more secondary scoring'

They have tones of it, as I just pointed out in my post,

Im not sure what your complaining about this time lol?
Tons* and they have a top line who produces everything and not much from the bottom 6

3 assists in his first 12 games.
3 assists in his last 9 games
He has the potential for plenty more if they would mix things up a bit.

Brennan has 9 pts in 15 games.....with 6 pts in has last 8. I wish they would mix him in more often as well.

Fantino seems like an enigma to me. There's flashes of high end skill that leave you wanting more. He's got a big shot which you would think would lead to more goals but he doesn't seem to get to the prime real estate to use it effectively. It would be great if he starts to chip in more regularly in the second half of the season because he has the talent.

Brennan has been a pleasant surprise to me. He skates well, works hard, and seems to have a nice set of hands with a quick deceptive release on his shot. He has shown growth in his game over the season to date and seems to be a nice piece of the future for this team. I'll admit I didn't see this from him in camp but love that he proved my initial opinion wrong.

They have the deepest top 9 in the league, forwards 7, 8 and 9 produce at a higher average point per game then 90 percent of the league.

Your complaining about kids who on a winning team, should not HAVE to be relied upon to produce. The Sting play an 05 who has the same numbers as Chafe in their top 7 forwards. Chafe is 10 at best on this team, and that's even after Gavin Bryant's injury.

But this is the funny part of some of your posts, its like you don't actually look at things before posting.

Him with Guindon and Fantino has been what hey have been running with often, I like that line.

The Papias, Goure and Barlow line has been statistaclly the best in the league in the last 3 weeks.

Lawrence, Burroughs and Petrovski has gotten going in the last 4/5 games.

How that top 9 isn't considered 'deep' im not sure lol

The coach has steered away from these line combos recently. Particularly the last two games.

The forward position is not were the work is needed.....defenceman making the first pass does it for me

They need to get Sawyer and Steen back and let guys play where they should be, not way to high in the lineup. Despite the injuries (which may be the biggest issue all year), they still are finding ways to win or collect points, hopefully everyone is back in a month

That's a fair point. Lots of off the glass and out types on the back end right now. We tend to spend a fair bit of time on puck recovery chasing it in the neutral zone. With the quality of forwards we have it would be nice to connect on some passes and better utilize the offensive skill set with the puck in the forwards hands so to speak.

Not sure if there is more focus this season, but a lot of teams are /have lost a lot of players to injuries.

If the boys can hang in there till they get healthy, the team will get back on track .

I thought it seemed that way as well.

I saw James Petrovski had 2 assists tonight. I take it he’s working out for you guys?
I believe it was the best game he's played so far.

He's paired with Taos Jordan, another 17 yr old, and they've been our 2nd D pair.

He had an active stick, made a few nice hits, and stopped at least one breakaway.

I like what I see, he will get more comfortable as time goes on .

This weekend a northern road trip for the boys .

Taken a bit of time to get his feet wet. But look steady so far.

Starting to show a bit more comfortable with his defensive pair with Jordan, and is showing a bit of a setup man with 4 points at 17yo he's a big body out there and doesn't seem to mind creating havoc in and around the puck.

Can only get more and more confidence and comfortable with the guys and and I believe the goals will start to come.

The guys had a good start to the weekend tonight in Barrie.

They seemed to get refocused and back to their mojo tonight in Barrie, and jumped on their chances early on and get the wheels rolling in the right direction tonight.

Now onwards to Sudbury tomorrow and hopefully forward momentum against a struggling Wolves team.

Let's hope they can keep it rolling forward.

A much needed better first 20 to start the game last night glad to see. Im sure the staff have been wracking their brains trying to come up with ways to be better off the hop. Hope its a turning point because if we can start games on time we can probably keep up with most teams in the league especially when we get healthy. Glad to hear Steen took warm up last night. Must mean hes close. Maybe by the end of the weekend.

That was a great game for Tersigni last night. He picks up his first OHL points early in the game and it seemed to go straight to his legs. He was motoring all night and saw an increase in ice time. He was on the second PP unit at the end of the game and played a couple shifts closing out the game with under 5 mins to play. That's got to be a major shot in the arm for his confidence.

Hopefully Petrovsky is ok after getting hit in the head in the third. Didn't look great leaving the ice.

Coach said in pregame show probably a week away.

I thought the same thing.

He's been working hard adjusting to new systems and new mates. Last night was his best game so far and I'm sure he will be fine and IMHO a great addition.

Extremely sad news coming out this morning that Ray Mckelvie has passed away at the age of 87. He was a huge hockey builder very much involved since the days of the Platers in Owen Sound and will be extremely missed.

Sincere condolences to the McKelvie family on the passing of 'Ray'.
Had the pleasure of knowing him almost 35 years.
Never heard anyone call him anything other that Ray. He was one heck of a good human being.

The fact he was instrumental in bringing and maintaining OHL hockey in Owen Sound for over 30 years cannot be overstated .

Ray and The Platers/Attack are the same DNA .

He , ( and Georgina) will be sadly missed every game at the Bayshore.

His grandson Mark, carries on the McKelvie legacy as one of the League's young up and coming play by play broadcasters .

Thank you Ray for everything you did .

Rest well.
