The list on page 1 is shrinking with London & Flint losing an OA I expect in the next 7/10 days majority of teams are down to there 3

Andrei Loshko a OA import out of Niagara who has size and putting some points on the board would be a target for the Spirit. Niagara will stabilize and need to develop some younger guys not many teams will be able to take him. He is a 4th rd pick of Seattle. Don’t know much about his game.

Gavin played an entire season (minus a month) with two “crappy” shoulders and had his best statistical OHL season (62GP - 21G - 33A - 54pts).

Gavin has two surgically repaired and healthy shoulders, current team captain, highly respect on and off the ice, well-spoken, a year older and primed to have an even better year than last year. I like Loshko but he’s two players (OA and Import). NVV is effective physically but slow. Flores is one of the better goalies but you have Robertson ready to step in as their goalie of the future. So there are better options than Bryant.

What Niagara knows about DD is the decision will be based on what saves him the most money, while still giving his team the best chance to make the playoffs…draft capital means absolutely nothing to him. What OA move would allow him to do that is the answer.

We are in a position that a quality F will help us till Chernyshov is back. Lots of scoring strength in the top lines. First is the shutdown D. Doesn’t have to be an OA but I get the point about using up the cards. I just personally think trading Parekh helps this season and then the next.

The answer is probably who’s most likely going to school

7 teams left carrrying 4 OAs Taking a wild guess on who is getting sent home off each of those teams

Guelph
Thomas Budnick

London
Alec Leanord (not on roster anymore)

Niagara
Owens Floors or Andrei Loshko

Oshawa
Dylan Roobroeck (potentially stay in the AHL)

Ottawa
Thomas Sirman

Peterborough
Ryder McIntyre Or Liam Sztuska

Soo
What’s wrong with Owen Allard

If Budnick is going to be the odd man out in Guelph it makes a ton of sense for Saginaw to trade for him...wouldn't cost a ton, he's a Michigan kid and would provide a physical presence and an upgrade on Forgione. Forgione has played better than expected thus far but he's a 3rd pair dman at best.

I know it is not official but we should be getting close to adding Brady Stonehouse to the Ottawa list. He is really close to finishing his rehab and fitness period. Once cleared, it is expected the Oilers will reassign him to the 67’s. I believe the clock on that is the end of October when he will be reexamined….maybe sooner.

From what I heard he was in Ottawa around the time you guys played us. Not sure if he still is.

He is back from Edmonton. If there were any intention of sending him to the AHL or ECHL, he’d have been sent there to continue the rehab/fitness timetable. Being back in Ottawa and skating with the team suggests they intend to reassign him when eligible.

So it appears that Peterborough and the Soo are the only teams left with over 3 OA's? Dylan Roobroeck got a goal tonight in the AHL. I think it's clear by this point that he's staying put.

Ryder McIntyre and Justin DeZoete are definitely on the bubble, but I don't think there's a rush, as both teams have OA goalies that can cycle in and out.

Maybe we can shift this conversation to teams that will be looking for an upgrade going forward. Owen Allard stands out as the big OA fish that may be available. On defense, Konnor Smith and Donovan McCoy may be on the move again. There are a lot of goalies, but many on hopeful contenders. Charlie Schenkel is the most obvious trade candidate.

Rangers are selling this year. OA Trent Swick should be in demand. And Adrian Miseljevic is currently leading all OA’s in scoring. He should draw interest as well.
I don’t see the Rangers moving OA G Jackson Parsons. OA G’s don’t hold much value so I’d assume he’d be more valuable to the Rangers playing out his junior eligibility here.
