Caps need to focus on sourunding the team with playmakers through trade and free agency this summer.

Ovi breaking this record with all the games in one jersey is a much greater accomplishment than 1st/2nd round playoff series. This should be their focus until it gets done

We’ve already compiled tons of draft picks. But we’ll still be hampered by the $13.1 million cap hit for Backy and Kuzy next year. So much for the Caps management doing everything for the record In his final season though, these contracts will be off the books.

Indeed. Have to strike iron while it’s hot. He has to add as much as he can now. And if he has another 30 goal campaign next year, the record-breaking goal will be almost a certainty.

If healthy he will get the 40 goals.

As long as he does his camel rides before the season and not in the middle of it
