I love that player.Damn, 4 goal game by Drake Batherson.
Why would you assume that a guy playing 12 mins a night, out of position, that requires a 6mm QO will sign a long term contract at a reasonable rate? If he was playing those minutes here would you be so sure he was a lock to sign long term? I can see neither party being interested in that.
And thats not how the math works on this.
He needs to be better then the first, the third AND the opportunity cost represented by 6mm in cap space. Only 4 games in but they are struggling to find minutes for him. They have 10 better forwards.
I love that player.
I could see the Canes finish high in the standings..........and lose in the 1st round...Will be interesting to see how Anderson holds up.
Looks great but when the games get tight he tends to flail. Team might score enough it doesn’t matter!
He's always the player that scares me the most when we play Ottawa.Love the Drake!
You are missing the point. If he struggles this year, you think the Canes are going to make a long term commitment? Why would they go 4x4 on their 10th best forward. And that’s being generous, he may only be better today then Stepan.Because he is still a baby and will now have to EARN his way on a WINNING team. Do you know what their long term plans are for him? They also aren’t struggling to find minutes for him he is getting the minutes he deserves on a strong team.
Maybe, but man they are dynamite so farI could see the Canes finish high in the standings..........and lose in the 1st round...
if you're gonna play low minutes, better do it behind actually great players and with quality linemates while making millions. it's not exactly a bad situation for him

Dundon is on record saying it’s a one year gamble and he was way down their list of options. I mean what is a 30 point LW that doesn’t kill penalties and struggles in his own end worth? 2.5x4 maybe?
Anyway time will tell but he better find a way to outplay Martinook if he wants a decent long term deal.
