The Krakken jus put Barré-Boulet on waivers.

24hrs of tweets and posts about how the Habs should pick him up.
I believe TB has first dibs and the order is still based off of last year standings so Habs are low chance.

There's no way Tampa doesn't claim him back. However, seems like a loophole. Say you want to get a player to AHL, can't you work out a deal with the top waiver priority team where they claim and waive a guy so the rest of the league doesn't have a chance to claim him.

And I'm on the boat that they should claim him and waive Paquette. At least with Brooks/Boulet they might be able to turn them into something.

Brooks/Boulet > Paquette

Agreed

They don't. It's by order of the end of last year's standings. Seattle was given spot #3, I think, so if any team between them & TB puts a claim in - the lowest seeded team gets him.

Coincidence or not...

The teams that made the final four a couple of months ago are a combined 4-11-1. Even removing the Habs 5 losses, the other three teams have lost 7 of 11 games to start the season.

Was expecting this. Now they can send him straight to the AHL. They're not forced to keep him in the NHL since their claiming back a guy they put on waivers. But they can still decide to keep him in Tampa.

I'm surprised some crappy team at the bottom of the standings didn't give him a shot - maybe one that plays close to where he played Junior that knows him well.

Ah well, I guess he hasn't impressed the pro scouts at the pro level. Gotta trust our pro scouts, given their immaculate record.

The list only goes by standings on November 1st. It is still interesting that no other team took him but when the expansion team sits you, I guess you must still need AHL time.

Yeah, I mentioned this a little while ago. It looks like the short break really affected these teams. Habs especially since we also lost Weber and Price. I bet some players are still hurting.

Leafs lose to Sharks too.

Bottom 3 teams in East are: #14 TB, #15 NYI and #16 Montreal.

Tampa Bay has a down year due to injuries and gets a top 5 pick ....

KK was pointless in two games. Did he have to EaRn his promotion of playing with Aho and TT like he would've had to in Mtl?

clearly he must be listening to his coaches more than Caufield, who was demoted to Perreault's wing obviously because he hasn't earned the right to keep playing with Suzuki...

the funny thing, some posters actually believe that nonesense!
