Is it me or we got a better return for Chiarot than Stl got for Tarasenko?

Tarasenko vs Chiarot trade:
1st = 1st (Florida didn't expect to suck this year...)
3rd (only a 4th if Rangers miss the playoffs) > 4th
Hunter Skinner = Ty Smilanic

Blais for Mikkola = ...

Chiarot didn't have a full NTC so teams outbid each others, not the case for Tarasenko, the Rangers is where he accepted to be traded, it always lower the trade value.

Well playing pro in lesser leagues doesn't have any value for a NHL team. He spent most of the season in the ECHL (where he did not dominate statistically) and he'll turn 22 in 2 months ... i'd say the prognostic is not good. Maybe a Drew Drewiske but more than that i doubt.

I think he's from upstate New York (Syracuse I think, I dont quite remember) and still lives there in the off season, so the Rangers would certainly be in the mix.

I was going to dismiss this but learned he has a real history of doing dumb things and basically putting his team in bad situations. I mean, spearing a fan is a terrible thing to do also. He’s going to have to learn to manage his temper in the pros.

Tarasenko had a full NTC. Blues couldn't trade him without permission. They got a lot more than what Buffalo got for Taylor Hall.
