4 minutes in Wings already lead 2 nothing.

Is it me or the western conf. sucks ?

Wings are riding the coach bump right now. The bruins went on a run as well after canning Monty and now they are back to where they were before.

It will be interesting to see where the wings settle once the bump fades.

Detroit’s plan was always interesting to me — they had a long rebuild ahead of them but also didn’t want to bottom out and risk losing fans (income) and losing their culture. The compromise was to keep a respectable team by any means necessary — which involves signing UFAs to medium term deals.

I’m most interested to see how Yzerman swings for more “core” pieces. I mean, that’s the whole thing.

The Habs nailing it with Hutson was a game changer — the Red Wings need some luck like that and they’re doing well.
Or, perhaps they need a management team with a better approach, one who gets that there are tangible things you can do to increase your odds at "getting lucky"

I find their D and G situation pretty suspect. They could be the real deal, but I just can't see it lasting. If we were at game 70, maybe, but we have half a season to go.

TB wins in regulation.
A Pens win in regulation may have been better even if they would have passed us because we have games in hand but it beats any ot result.

I think the current race is kinda like playoffs. Even if we don't make the real ones we play meaningful games and it's a lot more fun than a race for better lottery odds.

and of course f***ing senators beat Dallas. Sigh. I feel like da playoffs are fleeting away.
If the playoffs become out of our reach there's only ourselves to blame , we keep getting smacked around and dominated by these bottom 10 teams in the league lol , fully expect Utah to smoke us , Pens beat us up 3 times already

...in the minority here, but I'd trade Peety...at least Miller has a killer instinct...

Hey you're still around. Hadn't noticed you posting since I came back from hiatus in August.

That said...
Where are all the gifs, bro?

I'd take Miller too. Pettersson is a snively softy with no heart. I bet that's how the rift happened. Miller getting tired of, oh how did my mother used to say... il a les cordons du coeur qui trainent dans la marde, and Miller got tired of it.
