They'll need to lose to Florida tomorrow (a definite possibility) & 2 of Montreal, CBJ & Pittsburgh win their games. CBJ can pass them with one point, but Montreal & Pittsburgh can't.

CBJ @ St. Louis
Sens @ Pens
Dallas @ Montreal

Yeah, first day where they're clinging to a playoff spot since Montgomery was fired.
I know which game will end in OT.

Two slashes and a cross check missed on Zacha and then Bennett gets called for a high stick. I give mcavoy and academy award on that wonderful flop. What a shit team. So happy their fall may be long and painful

And these lucky f***ers win with a second left in OT They’ll need to play pastrnak 25 mins a night to get anywhere

Seriously we don't seem to get much help in the out of town games this week. The number of OT in games involving 2 Eastern conf. teams is absolutely INSANE.

You can bet your house that the Sens-Pens games is going to end in ot as well.

It pisses me off.

Reminds me of this video on YouTube.

If the $97m cap for next year is true (reported by Allan Walsh) then Toronto is going to have no problems signing all of Marner, Tavares & Knies. Colorado should be able to sign Rantanen, too.

That's a huge jump and that can't happen without the approval of NHLPA, which means Walsh has inside information that they have decided to approve it.
Swayman is saving their ass right now. Florida is all over them

Yeah, they were outshot 43-18. They got a lucky bounce in OT, but then Florida got one with 2 seconds left. Reinhart failing to clear when he had control of the puck was a huge moment obviously.

It moves the Bruins into 3rd in Atlantic.

Boston only has one game between today & next Saturday's game against Ottawa, so this should be the week that teams will play some of these games in hand on them while they sit.

Habs will take care of business on their own. As of today they only need an ~.800 record down the stretch to win the division.

Assuming Ottawa wins, I think there is one path left for montreal to move up to a wildcard spot.

That is a montreal win combined with a Columbus loss or otl

Conversely, if Montreal loses in regulation, they will drop one spot tonight.

Ottawa trouncing Pens. They will at least temporarily pass Montreal based on RW.

Montreal just needs a point to pass Pens.

2 pts & CBJ loss for WC2.

Montreal will jump as high as 2 spots or drop as low as one spot depending on how the night shakes out.... just another night in the crowded WC standings.

I was worried for us cause the Sens won but if we keep winning, it should not be an issue. We'll just dummy our entire division and take the top or second top spot.

Ottawa is a team that you can't trust but they have the ability to snatch a playoff berth.

Boston is interesting. They had lost 6 in a row and their goal differential makes them look fraudulent relative to their space in the standings.

However, it seems like they stole one today against a good team and you can't rule out the possibility of this positive result becoming a Kickstarter for them.

Canucks played last night and didn't get into Toronto until after Noon today. No problem though with the Leafs tonight, Nucks completely shut them down 3-0, Leafs only had about 20 shots. Most impressive defensive player for Vancouver?...Elias Pettersson, 4 or 5 great plays including blocked shots. Myers was good too. And Quinn Hughes is a beauty. Leafs didn't even bother to pull the goaltender at the end. Great team win for the Nucks.
