Sens losing again.

I wonder if one of these "summer of the Senators" will ever pay off?

They crippled themselves with the Chychrun, DeBrincat and Dadonov trades and they have very little levers to pull to get better. Yakemchuk is still too young and T.Boucher looks like a bust. They will have little help coming down the pipeline and they'll have to forfeit one of their next 1st round picks (2025 or 2026).

Damn, Calgary is out shooting NYR 37-17 through almost 2 periods. 20-5 in 1st period.

And, what the hell was that goal given up by Fleury?! Lol 😆

Damn, Rangers tied it up! 2-2. 2 goals in 16 seconds.

I called them being overrated. Anyone that watched Stamkos last year should have noticed the same thing the Lightning did - he’s just a PP leech at this point. Moving on from him was the right choice. Both him and Marchessault are older and have nothing to prove anymore, it’s all about collecting a likely final big paycheque.

They have an old and awful defence. Brady Skjei was never good enough to fix that.

It’s all on Saros to try and make them semi-competitive, yet again.
Even aside from that point (and I agree), Nashville thinking that Steven Stamkos will do the same thing in Year 1 with Nashville as he did with the team he had in Tampa (meaning EVERYTHING, the whole team, the front office, coaches, teammates, friends, crowd/fans etc.) is absurd. Like, if we acquired David Pastrňák right now, I wouldn't expect him to be the same player he was on Boston for example.
