OT: Out of town scoreboard

DET lose in regulation

TB win, 1 pt ahead of TOR but 3 more GP.
WPG beating TOR in their home and home series will make things really interesting for the 3rd spot.

Weegar got his 11th goal, 28th pt
Huberdeau has 6 goals and 25 pts....and he has a goal and 8 pts in his last 8 GP.
Gonna be a lonnnngggg ~8 years in Calgary for him

Who’s gonna stop the Oilers’ streak?

I bet the ASG will.

Huberdeau's already doomed, even if he turns it around and starts playing well. Every single thing he does is going to be insanely scrutinized, and even 'playing well' is still going to be a disappointment. Mind-boggling pressure.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the trade, Tkachuk couldn't score the first two months of the season and was clearly still feeling the after effects of a serious injury. South Florida media? Asked hard questions like "What kind of sides does he like with his steak?"

Yeah, sometimes you'd like the media to ask the hard question but sometimes the lack of pressure is an advantage. Very happy that they left Tkachuk alone the first few months (the fact that Florida was in a playoff spot or closely in the hunt all that time also probably helped).

It was genuinely funny that it were clearly NOT the Panthers fans and media who were seriously concerned with his slow start. I like how our fanbase was very chill.

I have basically zero regard for sports 'journalism,' so I'm actually glad we have this kind of hockey media here. It makes SFla a more appealing destination for players who want to get away from that shit. I really don't need journalists to ask guys questions like "Why do you suck so much right now?" when you know they're not going to give an interesting answer anyway.

Even when I got annoyed at how bad the power play was and was hoping that maybe someone would ask about Kompon, the reality is that it's probably for the best that they just kept asking Paul Maurice for belly rubs.

So I wonder if Barky will go on the weekend trip to Pittsburgh and Long Island, or will they keep Barkov “healing”, who Maurice said was at worst day to day, while they hope not to go 0-2 on that trip?

Maybe they’ll be counting on another Penguins own goal and Patty Roy to go batshit on the refs?

Formenton (who was the main guy from the beginning) has left his team. Obviously it appears Hart and Dube will be announced. Not sure why we haven't heard the other 2 names? This is a big day (for the wrong reasons)
