EJ doesn't need people pushing him around. Half the time he dives to the ice of his own accord. EJ is cooked. Malinski was objectively a better player this season.

If Malinski is in, we're gonna need him to step up like Byram in 2022. Puck retrievals and transition out the zone against the heavy forcheck. With Girard and Malinski on separate pairs I expect a pretty even roll out of the bottom 4. Lindgren and Manson have been too good to hold minutes back. I hope Malinski is up to the task.
