Home town team for Kaner, looks like a retirement package.

Also shows that Buffalo doesn't realize the actual team needs they have which is D and G. They are desperate it seems to not have another season get away from them early.

it actually sounds like it could be a brilliant PR move. the term is a feature. it basically buys the team an offseason of goodwill from the fans.

I'm sure the sabres understand their needs better than anyone but this is entertainment after all and bringing the hometown HOFer back for his final years would be a great story.

that said, it could work this summer, too. I heard Kane *only* wanted to sign a one-year prove it deal because he felt he could still play and didn't want to be locked in at a bargain price when the cap was going up. who's to say he couldn't chase another cup this year and sign a 3-4 year deal with buffalo in the summer for a bit more after having proven himself (maybe with another ring to show for it)?

Wait. Levi isn't going to win the Vezina this year?

The same Buffalo fans told us Reinhart is garbage

I’d take Kane on a cheap one-year deal. Cheap being the operative word.

Kane. Just what our PP needs. Another passer

Buffalo fans said Levi was similar to Hasek. They’re delusional. Levi should be in the AHL like Knight but I guess they didn’t learn from our mistake.

Kane would be an upgrade over Nick Cousins, so why not? He can play on line three with Lundell and Luostarinen.

Kane gets his hip resurfaced to come back at 34 just to sign with bottom-feeding Buffalo? I get he’s from there but seems odd.

If and big if the Panthers really want Kane. How would it even work in terms of cap? They only have $94k in cap space. Can players restructure to make room? Does someone get traded or released? I know these are broad questions but still..

Levi getting cooked by BOS right now. 4 goals on 14 shots...
Not sure he's gaining valuable experience behind this defense? Mayne time to send him to AHL?

I get they're waiting for their D core to mature and take next step but they ain't making it with this team as is.
He seemed to me to have a similar intro to the NHL as Knight, I expected some struggles. Absolutely think he should be sent down, they have 3 goalies up right now.

He got pulled after 5 GA on 17 shots.
He's has one really good game vs MIN, the others are pretty bad but still has years to develop, just think his NHL audition is over until he shows something down a level.
