Fly high Red...fly high.
Gonna be a consistent 25ish goal guy.
Good to see him back to his scoring ways after a slow start.
4 goals in his last 2.3 games.

I was high on both but… Wish Denisenko was the throw-in ! :(

Pretty sure OT would have worked like a charm in Maurice’s system…

His « explosion » was always coming… Wether he is a 20-goal scorer or 30+, it’s all in his hands and ability to process… But Owen is a pretty simple player !

That Tippett goal is ridiculous. Few can shoot like that. Tough to not have that In Lineup
His shot is his best attribute. It's definitely elite.
He is basically what you want Samo to be one day, but Samo won't because he doesn't have that same frame. (OT 3 yrs younger, 3" taller, 30lbs heavier)

The officiating in the Edmonton/Seattle game was absolutely atrocious. Missed a real obvious major and then the game was tied up with 45 seconds to play due to a blatant uncalled penalty.

Hard to say what would’ve happened to Tippett’s development if we kept him. He certainly had the talent and the wicked shot but we had him for five seasons and he couldn’t quite figure out how to get the most out of his abilities while with us. Maybe the change of scenery and philosophy helped things come together for him. I only regret the trade in hindsight, but at the time we were cup hunting. Claude Giroux was an upgrade over Tippett at the time and he was arguably our best player in that playoff run. If you want anyone to blame for that trade blame the coaches and the players who contributed to our flop in the 2022 playoffs.

Anyway, he looks good with the Flyers, really happy for him.

Important not to read too much into it when guys do well on really bad teams. It's often a case of "someone has to score"

Tippett is 25 in Feb., scoring well under PPG with the Flyers and getting tons of opportunities. No one should lose sleep over him being gone.

Excellent post. I’m happy for Tippett but he wouldn’t have done jack here.

Yeah. And he was really bad here and about to go on waivers if not traded. Also his first year as a Flyer was bad, so it's not like he was on the verge of figuring it out. Water under the bridge.

I like Tippett, but this is a case where the team did invest a lot in the guy and it just wasn't working. Sometimes, unfortunately, a player needs to move on to start blossoming.

Also, anybody watching Tampa/Edmonton? Defense and goaltending incredibly optional. Lightning need Vasilevsky back yesterday.

Chiarot trade not nearly as bad anymore since it was the 31st pick and not a lottery/Bedard

Get dicked Habs. Drink clorox (mainly the invaders).

Still pretty gross for freaking Chiarot who did nothing. Who was the prospect they got?

Rags fans losing it because a Jack Hughes shot trickled in through Shesterkin's pads and it was correctly declared a goal. The controversy? The whistle was blown 0.2 microseconds after making contact with Shesterkin.
