Well Lemaire too...they're both practically the same coach only Lemaire's a little more personable. Thing is now:
A) expectations are less, so people don't care right now if 'that style can't win in the playoffs'
B) the game's returning to a pre-lockout type of defense anyway
C) they don't have the talent to play the Pete/Sutter in '09 type style.
Does Paul Maurice have a long-term deal with Winny?
I like him and Lavy, assume Lavy is locked up though.
Saw Maurice doing NBC work the yr devs went to the finals and sounded like he had an in with mngmnt and he picked them at beginning to go all the way
Like either one of them compared to what has been thrown around
Have the Yotes recommitted to Tippiet or is that situation still in the air?

Shero's hire makes it highly unlikely that Oates is the next head coach.
Unlikely Stevens is the next coach, either. I think we'll be getting some totally new blood.
I’d really like to shake Scott Stevens’ hand when he’s congratulating me on winning the Stanley Cup
Devils were ranked #2 in 5on5 GA60. I think Stevens is going to stick around. My money is on Shero picking up on of the big named HC.
Am I the only one that wants Hitchcock more than Tippett?
I'll take Tippett, but I'm skeptical of him. Arizona gives up a lot of shots against. Even in that year they won the Pacific and went to the WCF. They got a monster year and an unsustainable one out of an average goaltender, who was a career backup and even a third stringer and waived just the year before.

I'd probably prefer Tippett to Hitch, but then I haven't been a fan of Hitch for a while. Although more often than not he gets his teams into the playoffs.
With Shero, I have no idea what to expect in terms of what kind of coach he's going to be looking for . Which is both kind of exciting and potentially terrifying.
