The Sens have such bad defensive details, it's a wonder Korpi is around .900 this year.

They're not covering the right shot block lanes, they're letting us have tips in front. It's a very talented D group with bad details, it's a good mirror image of the Jackets.



Still, Werenski is so much quicker with the quick pass to Laine now that Laine is on the right side, and it speeds things up a bit.



I think that's probably how it plays out because Jiricek is so good with the puck but his lateral mobility isn't improving as much as I'd like. It's an issue as a QB. He needs to get so much stronger. I want him on the Leo plan.

I agree but the combination of shot/puck movement gets him by. Obviously limits the potential but also gets him around his deficiencies. Almost like a small player, hes developed with that issue and developed accordingly. Atleast its only up from here

But the lack of a scoring threat holds him back a bit. Ive watched a lot of Mateychuk and love the player but currently hes not a threat to shoot like those other guys. Maybe he gets there, he does everything else exceptionally well but that part is lacking compared to Jiricek

I think Xhekaj is the only player so far to look Voronkov in the eye and man up. Id like to see Voronkov do more fighting/scrumming but also dont want him off the ice

Improving shot should be pretty straight forward. Quinn Hughes was in the same position and worked on it this summer. Now he has matched career high goals in 24gp.
