The umbrella would absolutely work much better if Z was replaced by a RHD and Laine as one time shot. But since this won't be optional and Z rules PP, this is the best we can get

Even with an umbrella Gaudreau and Laine still are very slow with the puck on the PP and require lots of space to do anything, Werenski still needs to be replaced though I agree

Vronk really does not fear anyone in this league, its great. Every guy that has challenged him he looks so calm and ready.
I’d prefer Matthew T; Brady already looks like an ugly baby so you really wouldn’t be able to tell the damage after the fight.
I'm not arguing for having Laine moving the puck (not that he has any issues with that), he should be the last move, towards net. He's the target player, if they block him then slot is more open for others to take slot shots.
The right to left shift requires a RHD, and we have the best shot from that side. Use it, feed it with RHD (Boqvist or Jiricek). Then we'll win majority of games

All I'm gonna say, and try to be humble about it, but you and I have gotten JG 2 points tonight so far. Imagine what we could do if we started earlier...
All it took was Korpi to keep this PP unit for the rest of the year
The Sens have such bad defensive details, it's a wonder Korpi is around .900 this year.
They're not covering the right shot block lanes, they're letting us have tips in front. It's a very talented D group with bad details, it's a good mirror image of the Jackets.
Still, Werenski is so much quicker with the quick pass to Laine now that Laine is on the right side, and it speeds things up a bit.
I think that's probably how it plays out because Jiricek is so good with the puck but his lateral mobility isn't improving as much as I'd like. It's an issue as a QB. He needs to get so much stronger. I want him on the Leo plan.
