Great night!...The Fury deserve full marks for getting those 2 huge goals. Going back to BC Place I fully expect Vancouver to actually field their starters and not a USL team though.

Slightly off topic...but are they adding more seating at TD Place in the Bank Street end zone?...I notice the grassy hill looking down to the field was completely gone and replaced by a concrete base of some sort.

I think the plan is to add some end zone seating yes

Fury lose 2-1 to Tampa, Haworth scores for Ottawa. Only 5 subs on the bench including loanee Mallan Roberts who comes on for last 10 mins

Man, that was such a disappointing play by Alves. I have no clue what he was thinking there, that's an easy save for Peiser, if he just keeps running beside him. That set up the night.

Fury were close on a few, I thought they played a pretty decent game considering all the factors.

Haven't really watched any of this season, it was nice to actually see them on TSN for once.

I guess that's the NASL but man do we need finishers!

A shame it was on TSN2 which is the 1 of the 5 TSN channels I do not get.....sucks they have 5 channels but rarely spread things out....4 channels playing the same pre-season CFL game, c'mon now!

Did you try it yesterday? I only stream from the website and I usually don't get TSN 2, for some reason yesterday it was working.

I use my parents cable subscription to do it and I know they didn't change their plan at all, I'm wondering if they opened it up just for yesterday or if it changed.

Funnily enough the first leg was on TSN1 for some reason, but it sorta makes sense TSN would push their primary summer property (CFL) over soccer when there is a conflict.

Regardless it was super cool watching Fury FC highlights on Sportscentre a few weeks in a row. That's the beauty of footy; no matter how far down the totem pole you are there are always opportunities to play with (and beat) the top teams.

Fury were outmatched but not out of it until the final whistle. Good run for them (if you can call one series win a 'run') and good to finally get MLS competition.

Too bad they missed out on the final. I could imagine a massive crowd for Toronto, even if a good portion of the stadium was supporting TFC. Already looking forward to next year.

Paul Dalglish took the redeye flight back to ottawa after the game, but the players were staying in Vancouver and flying back today, sounds like they will not practice before the game on saturday, maybe do some stretching etc.

Fury 1 Rayo FC 1 Att. 7,847

The injured/exhausted Fury managed a 1-1 draw tonight that had a little of everything.
Fury fielded a lineup that did NOT include, De Jong, Timbo, Obasi, Alves, Bailey, the latter 2 on the bench, the bench also included 2 goalies and 2 academy players and Vered.
Fury's starting lineup had only starter Rozeboom on defence with forward Chin starting at right defence, loanee Roberts on left, bench players Porter and Eustaquio with Steele and De Guzman in midfield forwards were Olivera, Paolo and Haworth.
Fury were down 1-0 after 2 mins due to miscommunication between the players.
The game really heated up but not on the field when coach Dalglish and Rayo coach Marcina got into a very loud shouting match, Dalglish was ejected from the game, probably for asking Marcina to step outside........
Fury slowly started to pull there game together but had poor finishing, Peiser as usual made several spectacular saves and Fury eventually equalised when Haworth scored directly with a free kick, Fury had a few chances but did`nt trouble the Rayo goalie.
Ottawa`s 3rd substitute was 18 year old Dario Conte from the Fury academy who replaced Fury and Canada captain Julian de Guzman.

Fury`s next game is not until July 2nd at the Cosmos to kickoff the Fall season.
Hopefully most of Fury`s wounded will be back healthy and De Jong and Vered have resigned and extended their contracts or Ottawa has replacements.
Dalglish will probably be suspended for next 2-3 games

The Fall season starts this saturday away to the Cosmos. The Fury have lost one player and gained one and will probably lose one more.

Gone is Vered back to Israel, arrived is local player Eddie Edwards from Edmonton,http://www.ottawafuryfc.com/news/2016/06/28/fury-fc-sign-ottawa-native-eddie-edward leaving probably is De Jong.

How many of their injured players will be back is unknown, at the end of the spring season Fury had Alves/Balchan/Obasi/Timbo/Venter/Bailey/Gyorio/Bruna and Dyego, thats 9 players injured, Alves and Gyorio are expected back for the Cosmos game.

<bump>

Two games and two losses in the fall season. Today they fall 1-0 to OKC. Weren't without opportunities but they couldn't convert anything. They sit at the bottom of the table and last year's trip to the Soccer Bowl seems like ancient history. Attendance is still a bright spot (6300+ today) and we were lucky the rain held off as it looked iffy there for a while.

It's pretty hard to score when Haworth is your lone forward, he was playing against 3 defenders. Both Edwards and Porter put in good crosses but Haworth was never going to outjump their back 3.
Rumour a new forward coming soon Thomas Stewart

Fury's injured list is still bad, 6 players still injured, Obasi, Balchan, Bruna, Venter, Gyorio, Olivero. Since end of Spring season Fury have lost Vared , De Jong and Paolo and gained Edwards, Roberts and Gentile

De Jong is likely going to Vancouver.. We also traded Paulo Junior to Ft Lauderdale for Gentile.. Not a great trade imo.

I knew we'd be a lower half spending sort of team with ownership focused on the Redblacks, but man I'd have thought we could have done a bit better than places like Ft. Lauderdale in terms of player retention...
