US $ v CDN $
Ryan, Richter, Heinnemann and Upiparipovic have all gone to other NASL teams, Weiderman went to a USL team all in the US and all being paid US $, are the Fury players paid in US$ or CDN $?

This is not going to help

Fury defender Colin Falvey has a clause in his contract that gives him an out, only if exercised by midnight tonight, apparently.

Horrible news on all accounts...I had JUST gotten my Richie Ryan jersey done up too...

Absolutely gutted if it turns out he walked away from a decent offer to stay here.

So are there enough guys left to soccer? Or do we need more soccerers?

How does FA work in this kind of lower league, anyways? Wait to see how MLS free agency fares, then poach the best of what's left? Or does the season get ahead of MLS in the same way that the CFL does with the NFL?

Free agency started more or less the day after the championship game but teams are allowed to talk to players even under contract which many soccer insiders would tell you thats a serious issue.

Well there goes our chance to rebound. I understand that people want to cash out but man this is rough.

I'm sure we will find some other free agents, all in due time but the Ryan departure still hurts the most.

We still have some pieces though:

Peiser, Alves, Trafford Stellar
Falvey, De Guzman, Brandon Poltronieri and Eustaquio Great

The rest are nobodies or prospects

Lets wait and see they have said many have been signed but are waiting for the approval before relasing the names.

You have quoted 7 of the 11 players signed you are missing 4, one is the backup goalie who Bruce Grobbelaar says is the best shot stopper he has ever seen, the youth goalie (sure a prospect) and the other 2 Haworth played in 26 of the Fury's 30 games last year and Paolo Junior played in 29 of the 30 games so not quite no bodies they also scored 6 goals between them.

So i would say we have 9 starters, 2 subs and a prospect, but we need at least 6/7 new players.

Losing Ryan and Ubi hurts a lot. Especially Ryan. I think they wanted Eustaquio to have a bigger role this coming season.

Never been a Heineman fan so meh.

I hate that we re-signed De Guzman tbh. Not a fan. But I guess we need someone to play in the midfield now.

Our backend is still intact with Pieser and Falves. That was the key to our success last year.

We need a striker and some depth in the midfield. Its not a disaster. We can recover from this.

I hope this means Paulo Jr gets a bigger role. He can disappear at times but he is our most skilled player with the ball IMO.

Richter is not going to the NASL. Not sure where you heard that
