Kingston is not going to trade Wright there is too much money involved when he is drafted.

Gaidamak is a possibility but again until I see something that doesn't have the notes or OH L page I will take it with a grain of salt.

Remember CHL teams are not allowed to draft Russian or Belarusian players this year.

I can see Ottawa already has a deal in place for a 17-year-old forward. It costs too much money to get an 18/19 year old unless the NHL is putting up some of the money.

The more I think about a potential Gaidamack trade to Nia, the more it makes sense. They are likely losing Gushkin so they have no imports on the roster. So they'll probably get a good one with their first pick but quality probably not good for their second especially that the russians/bielorussians are out which shrinks the talent pool a lot. So makes sense to acquire one who was still a .5 ppg despite a poor second half. Now it's the return i'm curious about, I'm not expecting much as typically not a big demand for imports from trades and if Ottawa has a target they have them over a barrel a bit..a fourth maybe??

I think it may be likely it is simply a waiver with Niagara placing a claim.

i think that’s exactly it. ottawa was shopping him all month and got no takers. thought it was a trade but it’s a waiver claim, makes more sense.

cranley is headed to flint, not sudbury
Geez OHL4life, you're quite the wealth of info. You've now cleared up our goalie situation on top of our import one👍

import was a trade to niagara, not a waiver claim, 4th round pick. i was right initally lol
Good to get something for him, better than losing him for nothing. We have a lot of picks even if Moldenhauer doesn't show. Wouldn't be surprised 67's make big moves at this year's deadline.

A 4th isn’t bad for Gaidamak. He had such a solid first half. Too bad he was virtually invisible the second half. Hopefully it won’t come back to haunt us.

We’ll see what they have up their sleeve tomorrow.

At least we also have a sense of what the goaltending will be next season. Good luck to Will Cranley. It is too bad it didn’t fully work out here. A lot of ups and downs. I truly believe the Covid break really hurt him a lot. I really hope he is returned to Flint and he gets a solid year behind the pipes for more development. I think he has the tools to be a solid Pro keeper. he jsut needs the right spot and coaching to groom him. I don’t think this is the last we’ve heard of Will Cranley.

Did Gaidamak play at all on a line with Sirizzotti?

I know you think they're gonna go for a 17 y.o. tomorrow and you might be right. But unless it's the second coming of Rossi that won't put us in contender position next year. A year I feel we need to give it a shot especially with all the assets we have (players and picks) to upgrade at the deadline if we look good. Hopefully we get that difference maker 18/19 y.o center and that Boyd/Egert have worked out a deal in advance either with a player or an nhl team that wants him here.

That’s what I hope as well but with so many opportunities to do so in previous years only to see them draft a 17 year old makes me think otherwise.

It really is difficult to get that type of player into the OHL at that age. As you said, they’d likely need to have an agreement with an NHL team In advance. I can’t see them rolling the dice. They need a sure thing.

Knowing the wealth of info that 67 scouts have with their international connections I am looking for ROHRER type player. Definitely a forward hopefully a center.

Yeah I know he will be 3rd line for part of the year but man if we can get lightning in a bottle for the 3rd time it would be nice.

67s acquire Kasper Marco from Austria in the Euro draft. He is 18 yrs old and a center.

That guys a pretty good player. I was wondering if he was going to be the guy.

He’s likely a first rounder next week.

Agreed, a few articles I read about him predict he will be a first round pick next week.
