Really? NHL GMs make really, really stupid decisions when they’re desperate to get rid of someone (PK Subban) or to acquire a particular asset (Taylor Hall). This doesn’t surprise me, but as someone with no loyalty at all towards the Sens, it does infuriate me.

I'm a Leaf fan. I just happen to think that most of HF aren't completely out to lunch as to what a rental should bring back, and extremely ignorant of the SJ pool.

WHAT IF Tierney becomes a consistent 40-50 pt 2nd/3rd liner, Demelo is a decent 3rd pair guy, BOTH prospects make it (even bottom 6 roles) and the first rounder becomes something.

That's like 5 assets on your roster.

Don't get me wrong, I think the deals awful, but if they end up with 5 NHL players in 2-3 yrs out of this that doesn't seem... bad?
