Why? Were the Sens planning on competing for a cup in between now and 2020? Who cares what conference he goes to if it's as a rental, just get the best return possible. He's free to sign after an year with an Eastern team anyways.

And if insiders know it, other GMs know it. Is it the primadona thing where others just start to despise him?
