To put things in perspective, Norris has as many even strength points as Nick Jensen.

The coach asked Norris to play "smart hockey" hang back and stop the other team from scoring, if Buffalo lets him try to play both ends of the ice he will produce just fine

Cozens will literally start passing to the other team once Buffalo has a lead because he's so nervous. He's single handedly given away more than 5 games this year by just falling apart at the end of the game.

That's fixable, but I think he needs to play wing.

Tbf to Norris he gets the most defensive starts and is tasked with a lot defensively.


Tbf to Cozens everything you said could be said to someone like Thomas Chabot of all people last year, when we had a bad team and brutal coaching. Now he's a utter stud. Hopefully Cozens fare just as well on this team.

He's going to be our 4th d on the left side, saves us from playing hamonic there in case of injury.

Sanderson/Zub
Chabot/Jensen
Kleven/Mantipalo
Gilbert/Hamonic

Norris is excellent defensively, plays a 200 foot game. It’s the reason imo he’s been kept at centre his career, because he’s not much of a playmaker, not a dangler, doesn’t have crazy wheels or silky hands to skate the puck through traffic. Not super creative. Needs a good playmaking winger.

His shot, especially his one timer is lethal. Easily his best tool, and is what makes him an exciting player. It’s a game breaking shot on the PP.
Special teams pp and pk this guy has a ton of value.

A bit underwhelming as a top6 center offensively 5on5, but his solid defense makes up for it.

I’m not sure I like this trade for the sens, I think they’ll miss Norris more than they’ll value what they get in Cozens. Hope im wrong.

I like Norris a lot . I might be in the minority on this trade but he can play . Could work with Tage or dual shot threats on the pp . Cozens has potential , but hasn’t been close to getting back to his breakout levels years ago

Our special teams suck with literally any players our special team coaching is full of morons 2 years ago we had a top PP unit with basically the same personal only minor changes.
 
I just read this entire thread. People on this message board don't watch Buffalo Sabres hockey. Can't blame them.

Dylan Cozens is a very bad hockey player. Maybe he can turn it around in a better situation. The Sabres would have won more games with Cozens in the press box every night this season.

Sens fans have been very respectful in this thread. It would be nice if you could say he’s on the verge of breaking out but needed change of scenery. Even if it means being dishonest

Not going to lie, Sabres fans definitely have me convinced that Dylan Cozens sucks. It's a somewhat universal feeling amongst their ilk, it would seem. There is zero debate and that's a bad sign.

Sabres fans: when Cozens wasn't absolute ass, was he playing on the wing?

I've been saying all season that with a change of scenery I think he'll find his game/confidence again. This team is a confidence/morale killer. Guess we're going to see if I was right.

He works extremely hard, I don’t think his effort is ever in question. Confidence is another thing. If he gets it he can definitely be a solid player.

Was he ever a game breaker in Buffalo even in his best season? No. I also don’t think he has the hockey IQ to be a true 2C
