Brutal football game and just devastating as a long-time Panther fan.

Great defense from Denver but I feel that Carolina just lost to the worst Super Bowl winner in recent memory as they were only half of a team.

Carolina supposedly had the worst O-line and worst WR group going in to the season (after losing Benjamin) and I agreed with it completely. Then the season started and Cam made #3-4 WRs look like #1s and 2s and it just kept happening to the point where it didn't seem flukey.

Well, yesterday's game exposed all the major issues Panthers fans had going into the season that appeared to be rectified during the regular season: WR/OL/Special Teams/Shula as OC.

They played like I thought they would going into the season so I'm left questioning what is the reality: 17-1 or the horrific offense and special teams I saw yesterday.

Didn't help that it was far from a neutral site game with the crowd and that HGH Parm's team was going to get all of the calls, but Carolina shot themselves in the foot with numerous game-changing drops and horrible special teams.

As Kings fans, you all should understand how I feel today as a 20 year--rabid for about 14 years--fan of a team that has never won a title losing to one of the league's "elite" franchises that already has numerous championships. Hopefully it isn't like the '93 Kings and the Panthers can make it back soon (sorry, Rams fans).

Feel Carolina beats this team 7 out of 10 times. Their QB couldn't even throw the ball 20 yards. Wade Phillips murdered Shula in the coaching department...just made a great defense look even better.

Should a team run into the middle on every 1st down when the entire defense is loaded in the box? Shula thinks so.

As I stated about 2 months ago, RG3 could be the LA Rams new QB. Well, he just cleared his physical, and will soon be released. How awesome would it be to screw over the Skins twice. First by raping them of all their picks that we've gotten in the trade. And IF RG3 could resemble his old self, he could be a dynamic player for our present and the future. Keep in mind, RG3 is only 26 years old. Yeah, I know, I'm getting ahead of myself.

With Robert Griffin III's release all but a formality at this point, a final—but important—hurdle has been cleared, according to a report.

Griffin, who turned 26 on Friday, has passed his exit physical, thus clearing the way for the Redskins to part ways with the former face of the franchise, according to NFL Network’s Albert Breer. Griffin’s $16.155 million salary in 2016 is guaranteed for injury only.

It’s now seemingly a matter of when, not if, Griffin will be cut and free to sign with another team.

When that move will actually happen, though, remains unclear. In an interview late last month, McCloughan did not seem to be in a hurry. He's currently negotiating an extension with starter Kirk Cousins, who is an impending free agent.

“We have until March 9th, and that’s why I want to sit down with the coaches," McCloughan said, asked about a time frame for cutting Griffin. “He is a good football player, he’s a really good person, and he’s under contract. That’s where we’re at right now.”

As McCloughan noted, the Redskins until March 9—the first day of the new league year—to release Griffin and remove his team-high salary from the cap.

Griffin did not take a single snap in 2015 after losing his job to Cousins in the preseason. To his credit, he stayed in the background all season as to avoid causing any distractions to the team. His insistence on remaining silent didn't change on locker clear out day, either, as he declined to speak to reporters as he left the locker room at Redskins Park, likely for the final time.

The next time Griffin speaks publicly, in fact, could be at the introductory news conference for his new team.

How do contracts in the NFL work? When I see a player becomes a free agent, it's always because he was released, not because his previous contract expired.

they're not guaranteed beyond the 1st year so teams can cut them whenever they want.

I am definitely more for the owners, than I am for players. Players are GUARANTEED to make money, owners aren't.

He didn't shut up is what happened. And you can pretty much apply that to everyone else who's been banned.

so its a perma ban?

I know no one cares but my goodness the NBA all-star game was brutal to watch. Sheesh it gets worst every year it seams. Watched a few minutes of the second half and it was hard to watch. Hopefully with the new format in the NHL it will become better then the NBA All-Star game. From worst to best. Pro-bowl, NBA, NHL, and then MLB.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Owners are STONE guaranteed to make a LOT more money than the players, the ones who we actually pay to see play. Owners in major sports print money with almost no risk.

Donald Sterling, the worst owner in the history of the world, made $2 BILLION when he was forced to sell the Clippers. TWO BILLION ******* Dollars.

LOL. start your own busniess and tell us about this "no risk."

Also guarantee your employees large raises every year and try to stay in business.

Please tell me how the owners are "stone guaranteed" to make a LOT more money than the players. I don't know how you can guarantee something that's in the control of the fans, more or less. If no fans show up to the games, are the owners "stone guaranteed" to make money? Maybe there's something there that I'm not aware of...

Besides, an employer should ALWAYS make more money than the employee, don't you think?
