Nets fired Steve Nash. I'm guessing Nash is fine with that. If I were him I'd want to put as much distance as I could between myself and Kyrie Irving.
Yeah Nash doesn't need to be around that mess. Probably was one of those things he wanted to try in life and now he recognizes it takes a special person to thrive as an NBA coach today. They don't run anything, their players don't listen to them, kids with minimal skills get paid 3-5x what they do to be out there for 12 minutes a game. Steve can save his name and reputation and blame it on Kyrie. Not like he needed the money or attention.

Durant is a big diva who actively worked against Nash, but Kyrie is a full-blown psycho and just an all-around terrible person. Whatever the case, that trainwreck was destined to fail. Makes me laugh that anyone thought Simmons was going to make a difference.

Sucks for Nash. But I’d be glad to get away from Kyrie.

Did that win in London actually help them team or blind them. I feel like they should still recoup some assets for Chubb.
They just moved Chubb to Miami for a first that belongs to them via the SF Lance trade. Likely to be in the 20’s.

The general consensus seems to be that it's a good deal, but how you go from trading for a $250million HoF quarterback to trading for futures just a few months later is beyond me. What a failure of a season

That's an awesome deal for the Broncos, Miami with the overpay but they must be realizing their efforts to stock up on picks was ill-timed and now just converting it to today assets. Really hard to believe anyone would give up more for Chubb than the Rams gave up for half a season of Von. Hard to question this move by Paton, still have Gregory whenever he's back plus Browning and Bonitto there, guess he decided little chance he'd sign him to the big deal.

I don't think the win over the Jags makes any difference good or bad. While fans can still be bitter about the season and the record for good reasons, its still hard for me to miss all these one score losses with a team that clearly hasn't been in sync and is playing with basically a second string line. Maybe a new coach could help but then again maybe it sets them back having to install all sorts of different systems, I don't know. But this is not a teardown situation, going out and selling a bunch of players makes no sense. Selling a guy you can get a first for that you don't plan on signing to a big deal is fine. If anything this might be a good spot to make a trade or two to bring in someone you think fits and will be around next season.

There’s some other picks now reported. Good deal for the Broncos in my opinion.

Holy overpay!

Well hopefully Edmonds pans out. He had a pretty solid year last year.

Also Chubbs next contract was going to be a problem imo. Just an indictment on the season as a whole really

Offence hasn’t clicked all year and is unlikely to after half a season.

I think Edmonds was moved for cap reasons by the Dolphins so they could acquire Chubb. Not even sure if Broncos wanted him but they could try him in the rotation before he inevitably gets hurt like everyone else has.

I’m sure. But Edmonds was solid last year and has some upside even if he’s had a rough year so far.

Kinda feels like they're desperate to after adding two new RB's
Murray was signed off the street and is a decent player now. We will see if Mack ever takes the field for them with Edmonds around now. RBs are dime a dozen, more reason to ask why they keep paying Gordon good money to be around. Should never spend higher draft picks on them and really no reason to sign veterans to anything more than a token amount of money at the position.

If Nets really do sign Udoka then parting ways with Nash was a no-brainer. Personal stuff aside that's a great NBA coach.

Well if you're going to continue to employ Kyrie then who cares, whatever Udoka has done or said doesn't even compare.

But I don't think anyone is going to save that situation. Doesn't matter how good a coach you parachute in there.

Maybe not this year but you don't pay the likely high price they will pay to get a coach just to save a situation. Kyrie will see himself out of town eventually.

1st++ for Chubb is crazy. I honestly didn't think they would pull it off.

Dodged a bullet by not having to sign Chubb to a huge contract next year. The guy will get paid and then probably go right back on IR.
