That statement probably only further justified the committee's decision to select Alabama.
Nope. Absolutely not.

FSU's starters were told that nothing that they did matters. So why should this game matter? If FSU had beaten Georgia, what validation was there to be had?

None at all. Zero.

It's awesome that they sat it out. Totally awesome. The game was a joke. Just like the NCAA selection committee is.

Trying to get the best pick possible now.
I actually hope Stidham passes for like 375 yards and 4 TDs or something obnoxious. I know it probably won’t happen but it would be awesome if something was actually there. It would solve so many of their problems if Stidham was even halfway decent.

Epic win for the Mammoth.

Gave up the first 5 goals of the game on 5 shots, ended up tying it at 11 late in the 4th to force overtime. Then the Warriors looked to have scored the game winning sudden death goal, but it was overturned on review for a crease violation and the Mammoth scored to steal the W.

Joey Cupido returned to action after missing nearly all of the regular season and the entire playoff run last year with a torn achilles. Cupido has been in Colorado nearly as long as anybody. Longest tenured guys by team:
Rockies - Charlie Blackmon (2011)
Avalanche - Gabriel Landeskog (2011)
Mammoth - Joey Cupido (2012)
Nuggets - Nikola Jokic (2015)
Broncos - Justin Simmons (2016)

Great to see him back. He's a heart and soul guy and also one of the best players we've ever had. Truly comparable loss for the Mammoth to what the Avs have experienced with Lando out.

Didn't he do like exactly that last season with the Raiders?

All they did is prove what an overblown joke their program is. Bunch of quitters who instead of showing up and trying to prove a point flat out quit.

The committee basically told the players none of their games mattered, why should the players play in an exhibition game risking injuries?

9,743 in Colorado
9,566 in Toronto (actually in Hamilton now, but they're keeping the Toronto name in case MLSE wants to overpay and buy them)
4,300 in San Diego

Really decent crowds for lacrosse this weekend, except San Diego. Finally bouncing back to pre-COVID levels. Hopefully the Mammoth open the upper deck again soon and we can get back to leading the league in attendance. There were a few years where the Mammoth drew more per game than the Avs and Nugs, back when the latter two teams sucked and upper level Mammoth tickets could be had for 5-8 bucks.

I remember my first game there and I was shocked at how many people showed up, definitely more than the Avs game a night before. Pretty much was sold out and it was a loud house indeed. I went because it was cheap and I wanted to check it out, got me hooked on the experience. Maybe that's what's concerning them, that it won't be as electric if its not even half full upstairs.

They were wronged by a corrupt entity.

Sometimes protest isn’t pretty.

But sometimes it’s necessary.

They needed to be louder with their protest. Too many people didn't even realize that a lot of their starters sat out the game. Hell, "The committee was right" was trending on Twitter.

Timeline of the Broncos season:
1. Came into the year trying to win, ended up humiliating ourselves
2. Tried to tank, ended up on a winning streak
3. Tried to push winning streak into a playoff berth, ended up losing to a 3 win team at home

Utter incompetence across the board, and now we might lose a pick because of the Russ situation.

I don't put any weight into FSU losing that badly to Georgia. When your whole top offense and half of your defense opts out, then a bunch of guys transfer... it just took all the wind out. They were starting a true freshman QB after their starter got injured and then the backup transferred. With the exodus of talent, not shocking to see them getting run.

The messed up part is the committee on one hand say games matter... then at the same point they don't matter. Thankfully this is will mostly be solved next year. I say mostly as we will probably have some G5 controversy, but really the number they have should really cover the best teams pretty well.

Pretty obvious Payton just hated Russ and wasn't willing to work with him. Russ in? RUN RUN THROW with a long 3rd down. Backup QB? THROW THROW THROW!
Wilson had plenty of 3 throws and out throughout the year and I'm sure any HC would want to see what they have in their new starter. Also everyone and their granny knows Wilson is too short to throw from the pocket.
