I really need to get back in the habit of watching boxing more often. Always enjoy it. Beterbiev demolished Smith to retain his light heavyweight titles in Quebec City.

I haven't been able to get into it since Holyfield/Lewis retired along with several of that era. It was last great era of fighters

Also, years ago the phantom punch on ESPN2 matchup was when I checked out of boxing (Cant recall fight but it was so obvious)

Too many questionable moments from officials/matches and such a weak pool of fighters with no great depth (The entire Mayweather era had jack shit to challenge him)

Indy Ice ownership starting up a second ECHL team in Bloomington-Normal.

I am on board, but I have doubts about the viability of a non-ISU team here.

Fingers crossed, though. My favorite hat remains my Chicago Express hat.

Flying Aces erasure.

True story, there were local fears over the name change to that, as the worry was that the team’s ownership was setting up for a move to somewhere else in-state with their adoption of a regional location rather than sticking to the city.

Granted, in hindsight, it’s not like they would’ve needed to telegraph the move of a USHL team.

Sox bound for Roosevelt and Clark?

I'm sure Reinsdorf will cry crocodile tears again to pilfer state money to make it happen.

And hey, the Cubs/Sox rivalry could be renamed the Clark Street Clash.

The location is cool. Reinsdorf will 100% ask the public and the state to fund the entire project, though.

Yeah, I'd hope that they'd tell him to suck a lemon and at most offer to build a red line stop for there or something. But they'll find a few hundred million to toss at the billionaire.
Pretty sure there's plenty of transit there already, and a plan to already build a red line station.

Well, that's certainly good infrastructure-wise. Now to see if Reinsdorf uses this to get money out of Nashville or uses Nashville to get money out of us.

SOX to Nashville is a dead rumor. He met with them because Larussa is part of Dave Stewart's 'Nashville Stars' expansion group.
