I doubt Texas gets left out when they beat their competition on their home field.
Maybe they still do because Georgia win is better than anything Texas has? Still crazy talk.
I'd like to see FSU, Texas, Mich and Wash get the invites but have a feeling the SEC carries too much weight to be left out.
Being a MU Tiger fan, I wasn't verry impressed with Georgia when they played them. So I wasn't all that moved by Alabama's win.

The setup for next year when the selection committee could pick twelve SEC and Big Ten teams.
No they did not. Cupcake schedule, plus star QB injury, plus a vastly overrated FSU team=FSU would have been this year's TCU. FSU in the SEC would have been a 4 loss team.
If anything the Playoff Committee save FSU from an embarrassment of being curb stomped in the playoffs.

The ACC had a winning record against the SEC this year. 6 - 4.Why? Because a vastly superior Bama team get in over FSU? All the metrics said Bama>FSU. FSU is undefeated simply because, outside of LSU, they played nobody worth mentioning. (spare me Clemson or Duke.)
I'm not saying this because I am a Bama fan (though I suspect you guys will think otherwise but cool story anyways, bros) but CFP committe got it right.
The reaction Michigan football team when they realize they pulled Bama, is priceless.
