Figured it would have to be a major haul.

On one hand, I get not wanting to do that.

On the other hand, sometimes that's just what you have to do to get a guy.

IMO, a big market like the Cubs shouldn't be as worried about giving away prospects, but that's just my perspective. Not saying that directly in relation to the Soto trade, but just my general perspective.

In Yanks case if they dont have strong year and return to playoffs then Cashman is going to be fired

So, for him the gamble here makes sense because he has no future if Yanks fail

Cubs not putting together a more attractive option for Ohtani than the Jays is peeving me a tad. Great for Toronto, though.

Morosi has to wear it for awhile. When you get debunked by Jim Bowden and Bob Nightengale, the TMZ of baseball reporting, then you know you just got played by your source.

With that said, if Ohtani does not end up in TOR, Morosi won't be able to show his face in Toronto.
