Twins got the tying run up to the plate in the 9th, almost came all the way back for a 2nd straight game. Lost 6-4. CLE keeps hanging on to eek out these wins.

9-2, the first loss was the day where tony had been with the team and was ruled out late.
 
Bigger thing is the team finally having a SS who can field and provide clutch hitting

I am open to moving on from TA in offseason

Exercise the team option and then look to trade him for good haul
 
Andrus has played 21 games with the sox and tony has only been out for 12 games. Do the math man. Must be devastating to you that your boy tony goes down and the season abruptly turns around. Just admit that he's probably the single biggest problem with the team and stop making excuses for him. If he comes back and the season goes off the rails again will you then finally admit it?

Cairo has also had Eloy DH every game since La Russa has been out. Tony probably would've had him in LF in a few of these games. It's not a coincidence.

Cueto with a very disappointing performance today in another must win game. Kills all the Sox momentum. Now back to square one all over again. And of course CLE won’t lose.
 
Sox get crushed 10-3 as TLR is is watching from the stands...his mere presence inthe ball park superceds tge Cairo positivity bubble engulfing the team and it is back to TLR changing the vobes back to morose futility....this is positively paranormal !

Sox on off night lose ground in AL Central and now trail 3 games

With so few games left it is becoming close to point that there is no viable possibility for Sox to come back

Do they play head to head? If not, 4 in the loss column is tough to make up in 20ish games.

Only if they sweep them or go 3-1.
2-2 just takes games off the schedule.

BTW Sox moved Lynn up to start against Cleveland Thursday.

They're keeping Cease tomorrow because both he and Lynn would be in line to pitch game one and two of the Cleveland series at GRF.
