Are there any positives for the ChiSox about this?

They can put players in there actually positions now. Jimenez to dh. Vaughn to play first. Sheets as a lefty masher against righties.
But they lose a really good player, so remains to be seen how it goes.

Watched most of the Portugal v Uruguay game today and good god was it boring. Yeah yeah yeah typical American doesn’t like futbol but yikes what a snoozer. Very few scoring chances, lots of dives, the only reason the 2nd goal (of a 2-0 game) was scored was due to a ticky tac handball penalty.

I just don’t get soccer. I learned how to be a ref actually when I was 19 or 20 and even then it seemed ridiculously boring. Not enough action and seems like most games are 1-0 snoozers.

I can understand how important these games are to non-American countries however. We’re really spoiled with talent coming in from all over the world to provide us with 4 major sports playing at the highest level for our locally broadcasted entertainment.

Degrom’s great, but that’s a lot of dough for a pitcher in his mid-30’s who’s often hurt.

I certainly wouldn't be angry. But yeah, this one along with Aaron Judge can only happen with owner's who have more money than they know what to do with. You'll get some amazing results when healthy out of both -but both guys are likely going to be really bad contracts within a couple years.

Bama is dead for a year. Good, good.

Now go not-Michigan in the playoff, and hope the Illini get a fun bowl game (likely down in Tampa).

So, after all the talk of what he was building, trashing how PWI are run, etc. and culture he was going to put in he leaves for major program at first chance he has

Frankly its slap in face to kids/university/etc. who listened to his nonsense

In Sox news the Clevinger deal is official now and more nuanced then originally reported

LOL

Channel surfing with my wife after the Colts beat down and we come across ESPN the Ocho showing something called Teqball, which is a combo of table tennis and kick volleyball, which was also something that I didn’t know was a thing.

There might be too many sports.

Clemens as well. But those guys dug their own graves.
I wonder if they'd get some clemency if they came out and admitted what they did. But Pete Rose tried that, and it didn't work.

The term, for all of the gamblers was "lifetime ban" so why aren't those from the 1919 White Sox that were HOF worthy inducted yet? My opinion is that all should be inducted posthumously, and be allowed no speaker.

If the Baseball HOF is a museum, you can't tell the history of baseball without Joe Jackson, Pete Rose, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, as well as others like Sosa, Palmeiro and McGwire.

I understand the lifetime ban stuff but it should end when the player in question is no longer walking the earth.
