So Cease andGrabwman are the non-vaxed "dangers" ...at least Canada thinks so because they are not allowed in unvaxed.

Yet how many of their Sox teammates even went on the Covid list with them being around after start of this season=not many at all... and with so much exposure to tge virus over morecthan 2 years on now, natural immunity has built up in society augmented by the 80% that dod get fully vacvibated and boosted...
So what is their real danger? OBviously MLB in thevu.s. thinks no more danger than anyone else...but in Canada they still believe the opposite..

I live in Canada and think the existing rules agaibst unvaxrd traveleersvinto Canada at this beyond 2 years stage of viral exposure "outcthere" is an unnatural rule at this late experiential stage of the viral history.

I myself would not be scared if I was in close proximity to Crase or Graveman .who surely have met the viris and survived it (maybe with only mildcsusmptonsvifcany)...

But we live in times when medical rationality is out the doir in favoirvof power and authoritarian government controls.

I still believe in rationality and thinking things through clearly ratger than blind follow the science dictum that months or years later are proven wrong or shown only effective for a limited time until conditions change.

At this stage ifvthe viral game the unvaxed are no more likely to spreafvor get sick from the viris than the vaxed...

So itvis Canada that shoukd just drop the NOW ....at this stage...Silly rules they still have in place.

It gets even silver...Quebec has dropped all mask restrictions but herein Ontario they have dropped the mask requirement for all situations EXCEPT government Indoor spaces, public transport , and hospitals or first responder visits or situations... Yet tgeirvkocak Publuc Health Officer can still make recommendations to keep wearing masks indoors in non-governmental settings...butvthen it is upto each business or shopping mall or condo building to put up signs ifvthey agree with this recommendation.. It is not the law to force people in those situations to do what th ecommendation asks ...but the fact local Public Health still at this late stage of both exposure and high vaccination status for most of the poulation ,is still clinging to the maskscwill savev ou nonsense leads to harassment by the still fearful mask wearing obedientl to whatever Public Health tells them "advice" flowers agaibst the FEW who dare to abandon the mask where the law now allows them to do.

Anyway,I wonder if the White Sox not named Cease or Gravenan, now knowing for sure they are the 2 unvaxred guys on the team, will be comfortable having then in proximity in the dugout and kicker room or practice or pkaying with them on the field after tgey get back from the Canada trip?

Will they then put the masks back on to "save themselves" from the DANGER the nunaxed allegedly pose(according to Canada) ?

In any case White Sox are down 2 players because Canadians politicians are still scared of the unvaxed or how many votes a scaredpublic will cost them unless they have a rule to keep out such DANGER ....but I guess MLB or the State Governments or the U.S.Frderal Government are no longer scared ofvthe unvaxed...ofvthey were these:dangers" woukd be in quarantine vamps..

But on the other hand....where proven Real threat Is occurring bigtime, like crazies getting guns and killing kids in schools ,the U.S. cannot summon the will to change and restrict such easy access to guns...but in Canada they are now going to ban handguns and limit the number of bulkits a person can get at 1 time for their huntingborcspirt rifles..

Different countries and state or provincial jurisdictions...

Interesting how different responses to threats are handled.

I think cease got the vax but not the booster. Sox talked about being 100% vaxed last year

Sox pitching has been very disappointing. More often than not the guys that are supposed to be our aces get rocked when they have to face good offenses/lineups. The #s don’t lie. We were kept alive by our outstanding pitching on several occasions in 2021, but that isn’t the case anymore. The 2022 team isn’t that good at pitching(rotation and bullpen included), and they also struggle to hit. And the defense is putrid. As well as all other fundamentals including basic base running and plate discipline. And the manager is awful. And the front office has made several poor decisions.

It’s a mess.

LOL

Giolito had a 2.63 ERA and 2.9 xFIP coming into tonight. He hadn't given up more than 3 runs in a start all season.
The offense can't keep putting pressure on the rotation. When every inning is a high stress inning, eventually it takes its toll.

If the offense doesn't get its shit together soon, the rotation that has been carrying this team will start to fall apart.

That’s fantastic for Giolito’s individual resume.

But what about the team as a whole? The pitching has been average at best.

What about what actually matters? Like for instance the TEAM ERA ?

It’s 4.00. Good for 16th in the MLB

We’re also 18th in OBA. And 24th in WHIP. And 21st in QS. And have issued the 4th most walks.

Sooooooo yeah, I could really care less about Giolito’s individual stats.

Carrying this team? To what? A .500 record? The rotation and pitching in general carried us in 2021 because it was actually effective and won us games. Here in 2022 it’s been average, therefor the team is average/not winning as many games. The offense is bad yes we know this, but also keep in mind the offense is bad league wide. So IMO this makes the amount of base runners we’ve allowed even more alarming.

The Sox offense has scored the 4th least runs per game in baseball so far this year. That they are anywhere near .500 while scoring so little is amazing.

You got all pissy after a Giolito start.

These team stats are inflated by Keuchel and VV.

At this point blame needs to be focused on Hahn and his front office who not only ignored the obvious needs of team this offseason but has generally done a pretty piss poor job with regard to scouting/drafting/development overall

The time of blaming KW for his mistakes/failures is long past as KW is just a figurehead at this point

Also, Grandal is now among the most disappointing FA signings in recent White Sox history. I literally hate seeing him come to plate because I know its most likely going to be an easy out and his power seems to have vanished. His power hitting (20-30+ HR's) and patience at plate was his main attributes and this season he has been trainwreck in every facet

And I know it's still somewhat early but AJ Pollack has been terrible acquisition

The big bright spot at this point is Andrew Vaughn who will no doubt be star at 1B and face of franchise for many years to come eventually when Abreu is gone. Abreu has shown faint signs of life lately so that is hopeful sign of positive to come with yet another disappointing bat thus far

Yeah, it would be much worse if the SP was even average. The fact that they're 1 game under .500 is a miracle.

The team has regressed since tony took over. They also don't even look like they are having fun like they were in 2020. Hes a scourge and a major reason this team is floundering.

I think the main reason they're floundering is that the players either got old or forgot how to hit a baseball.

This coming from an A#1 TLR hater.

100%

He’s been awful. Isn’t helping whatsoever. And this team so badly needs leadership/guidance.

Well…those guys do play for the white Sox, so yes, those #s are taken into account.

After a Giolito start? Wtf are you talking about. I’ve been critical of this team after just about every game, doesn’t matter who starts. Why? Because we’re a .500 team/massive disappointment. So sorry if that offends you.

The MAIN reason is a legit debate. You could argue several factors. And that is the real scary truth. It isn’t just one thing. It’s several. All at once.

You dont forget how to hit. At the major league level, coaches are there to make minor tweaks to approach or correct little issues. Judging by the fact just aboit everyone has gotten worse under tony and crew, I'd say they are unquestionably doing a very poor job coaching. And thats not even including all the braindead managing decisions.

How much longer are we going to be subjected to tony? Leury batting first despite his sub .200 obp, .460 ops and -.8 WAR in 36 games. Vaughn batting 7th because you NEED to minimize the amount of ABs for your hottest hitter.

La Russa Is going to be the Sox manager for…. a while. Get used to him being in charge until at least through ‘24 is my hunch.

They need to do something before its too late. Hoping and praying for guys to get healthy and THEN everything works out is not a plan.
