Blue Jays take lead and looking to blow this open

Do any of our IF ever make plays? It feels like they always miss ball, commit errors or have absolutely no range

Every other team in league has SS, 2B and 3B making great plays and throws while our guys barely move an inch as they miss the ball

Lol.

Nights like tonight are why the ump calling balls and strikes behind the plate needs to go. Bring on the computers.

THIS

When you watch enough baseball…and I mean REALLY watch, paying close attention, following along to your team game by game…you’ll notice just how many incorrect calls are made on balls/strikes. Now realize that same thing is happening in EVERY GAME, not just our Sox/Cubs. It’s an inning by inning at bat by at bat issue that has become so frequent that it’s impossible to ignore. I can’t stand it!

It wasn't borderline stuff going one way or the other. The ump was terrible. An inch plus away and an inch plus below. Good f***ing luck.

He was objectively awful for both teams. One of the worst called games I've seen this season, but they're becoming more and more common. Like I said, bring on the computers. No need to have the human element f***ing it up when you can get every call 100% right.

Doug Eddings was beyond horrible. One of the worst ump'd games I've seen this season... but he gets a lifetime pass with Sox fans cause of '05 so Angel Hernandez is still by far the worst umpire in baseball.

I admit....I gave up on the Sox once the Blue Jay's lit up Banks...surprised to look this morning and found out Sox came back to get to extra innings then win it.

I any case...aside from tge bullpen words which are understandable given the depletion due to those arms on the Injury List ,the most infuriating and concerning aspect to the Sox really getting a long long sustained period of winning ,IS the continuing .....maddening...failures of Abreu not producing runs with runners in scorongboisition...He was a machine of clutch RBI production with men in scoring position in past seasons..but it seems his failures in tbis regard this season are turning legendary..

I wonder if any of you stats experts could provide a comparison chart of his Runners Left In Scoring Position per 60 GP over prior seasons compared sobfar to this season...

I think we woukd find a huge discrepancy deficit compared to what he left on base in such situations in thise prior years to this season.
..

Giolito lost every aspect of pitching that formerly made hom good...he looks dazed..lost..no mustard...no command.. off balance...mechanics messed up....result is he gets hammered now in 5 straight starts...Bad...very very bad.

Thisvis miw a very concerning habit of revolting pitching...

Can they send hom to AAA to get his head straight so that he is MKB level competing again....looks more like a funny pitcher at BP where hitters tee off on his cream puff pitches.

I fo not yhink you can motion this off as a blip anymore..He just looks over the cliff into uselessness now.

But I thought Jerry was bad for not caving into his $ demands this offseason? (This is general dig at Sox fans here not sure if you were one of those upset by it)

Jerry has always been right to be wary of long-term big $ deals to pitchers
I thought his slightly rough season last year was a fluke, turns out its a good thing they didnt sign him. Fastball velo way down which makes his changeup ineffective. Only 27 and his arm looks dead.
