Can someone please tell me why the Cubs called up Velazquez only for him to sit to behind a guy like Heyward who is not even hitting his weight?

Better yet, please explain to me why guys like Simmons and Heyward are even on the team? If the Cubs are going to suck/tank, do it with young players like Velazquez but old players like Heyward/Simmons.

Man….the Sox are gonna have a massive uphill battle to face with this bullpen. You factor in the manager being inept and not maximizing its strengths/utilizing it properly, and there’s really no telling how many games it’s gonna cost us.

We need Hahn to once again be aggressive at the TDL and upgrade the pen. We’re doomed if it doesn’t get fixed. We need another Tepera-like acquisition. And then preferably one more.
