Knights, Guardians, Commanders. All recent names that have a somewhat similar vibe.

I think the name is pretty boring honestly. Like Senators, or Nationals. Although it's true we tend to get used to names over time.

I like names that are unique to a particular team like Lakers or Canucks.

OT, but my High School mascot was the Aztecs. They changed the name later for sensitivity reasons, but they eventually changed it back to Aztecs again.

It was so generic and bland, that it was ironically kind of cool.

At the same time it sounds kind of classic. It's definitely better than Commanders IMO.

I feel like you coulda said this 10 years ago and been right? Like how he college football not dead now? How many teams really have a chance to win in a given season? 3-4? It’s just more in the open now.

2. The guardians are a symbol in Cleveland (for almost 100 years). They're huge statues that were built on a bridge designed by an important figure in Cleveland/OH history.
