Was hoping we get the 1st or third pick. 2nd overalls are usually garbage Just look at the 2nd overalls since 2000. 17 years and 2 players yes 2 players have been a superstar or really good since that time. Lamarcus Alridge in 06' and Kevin Durant in 07'. Trade it away!

Lavar Ball's account is pending approval to reply to this post.

Was hoping they would lose their pick to be able to listen to the radio (710 is about on level with 1040 in Vancouver with stupid callers and hosts).

But if they weren't going to lose the pick atleast they moved up to #2, should be great seeing the biggest clown of all joining the Lakers Circus.

Ha! All radio callers are...I was listening to Petro's and Money on the way home the other day. And people were calling Money a fake fan because he was breaking down the odds...as if pointing out the Lakers had less than a 50% chance of keeping the pick was him being a "hater". Then again, it seems the Lakers always had a 100% chance of keeping it....how many years in a row have the odds gone in their favor now?

And due to rain.
Our city will likely take some ribbing on that.

More a case of terrible timing. They were still in the excavation process and rain ****s that up. Given it was record rain and right on time for the "10 year rains" cycle we go through, pretty unlucky.

I'm okay with Lonzo Ball coming to the Lakers. Not sure how good he is personally but have heard plenty good things about his game . Kobe will tell the arrogant annoying father to shut it once or twice and we won't hear from him again

I don't believe it. I would bet anything it was mismanagement / program verification.

I remember hearing a while before the Rams' move was finalized, they could build a stadium in 2 seasons. And then I was pissed they bumped it up to 3 seasons.

Now they need 4 seasons???? because of heavy rain?? That's crap.

I have worked on several large casino projects in LV, and this "year delay" would never be allowed. If the contractor tried to add another year, that's about the time the owner fires him and brings in a more competent builder.

The Rams aren't going to have any fans 3 years from now.

As an underwriter, I've seen nearly all of our construction clients have horrible Q1s due to the rain. This includes excavators.

Implying the Rams have any fans now.

Don't forget about those 25-30 LA Charger fans that are just chomping at the bit waiting to buy their PSLs.

Steve Ballmer and Inglewood will agree to build a new arena, adjacent to the Rams stadium. Staples Center is almost 20 years old and you know how most arenas have a short lifespan. I wonder what AEG's plan is.

Honda Center has been doing upgrades here and there. I'd expect Staples to get the same treatment. Building something new makes no sense.

Going to be tough to find enough movers to haul all of the Clips banners out of Staples once they move.

Clippers are planning to move to Inglewood right? Anyway I doubt the Lakers go anywhere. Staples is almost 20, but it's still a fine arena.

I like that little shot at the end, BigKing. But it's a good move for the Clippers. Staples is getting surroubded by Laker statues and it just doesn't seem right to keep playing there if you're the Clippers. Hopefully this arena will be smaller so that the crowd noise is consistent, unlike at Staples.
