This is the saddest in my life and my father had died in front of me when I was 20. Personal loss is tragic but what’s happening now is pure madness and pure evil.

And just for you to know. I was watching Jets Dallas game when it all started. Right by the end of the third period. I had to bring my wife to senses, she couldn’t breath and went unconscious for a second. My mum called me and she was crying like a…no, she was just straight off lamenting and wailing like a banshee, she had a nervous breakdown.
It was 3.30 am here in London, UK.
I haven’t slept since then
I got tons of messages from Kyiv from Lviv and Odesa. And the people in there. They are the most bravest people I’ve ever met. They were trying to calm me down here in London. They are rock solid and ready for anything. Ready to fight and resist. Military wise, media wise, spirit wise.
These people are the wall that stands between lunacy and freedom. They will stand.
Glory to Ukraine.

I’m an Ukrainian born in russia living in the UK.
My half family still lives in russia and my cousins in Canada and Ukraine. I’m devastated.

It's horrific. There are many people of Ukrainian descent all over Western Canada, including my workplace, who feel as you do. Our hopes and prayers are with you.
It's tough to know exactly how to respond...I just hope the world has learned from its experience in WW2 that appeasement won't work against megalomaniacs with big armies.

It's horrible. The Russian people do NOT want war. They are being forced into this war by Joseph Stalin Jr. Many of them will be coming back home to their families in body bags. He doesn't care about his own people. He's a horrible evil person. Millions may die because of one man's vanity war for fame and glory and a place in the history books. Disgusting.

Getting a bit scary. Ukraine nuclear power plant on fire. Bizarre being able to watch this stuff on cams on Youtube.

Edit: Russian troops took the powerplant cam down.

I'll tell you what. Apparently of this explodes, the effects are predicted to be up to ten times worse than Chernobyl, which will make it a global problem. And in that event, I'm wondering if The West will reconsider their stance on sending in troops. This has all the hallmarks to kick-start WWIII.

I'm convinced that Putin knows he will end up dead at the end of this and that russia will be an economic wasteland for a century. But he doesn't care. If you're firing missiles at nuclear power plants directly next to your people then you've gone full kamikaze. It's almost like he got a bad health diagnosis and is forcing the west to enter a war with him, where he won't hesitate to nuke the planet. The only way I see that being avoided is if a Russian citizen kills him, he won't kill himself. On a positive note it's awesome to see how the majority of the planet has united against him. The u.s. and China will love how he's decimating russias future as a world power.
