OT Thread Part IIX: The How Do Roman Numerals Work? Edition

It was our playoff push avatar theme for 2010. Since people on the main board's lockout thread kept joking about the CBA talks and how they order pizza, I decided to use one of these avatars I was able to find.

The reason we used the pizza as the theme is because in the pregame GDTs, we kept discussing the pizzas we are putting in the oven and going to eat for the game. It seemed like everyone kept talking about pizza before like every game. Everyone's avatar was of their favorite frozen pizza. :laugh:
 
What's this "playoffs" thing? I have no clue what that is as an Avs fan.

Man, it's almost 1am and I'm starving.
 
I finally reached my childhood dream, I just became a Pokemon Master!!
 
God so many good topics to talk about. Pizza, pokemon and I'm so bored and yet I am way too tired from nothing to talk. I think this is a problem.

I may be the minority, but Digimon was far more entertaining than Pokemon. Well at least the first two seasons of Digimon trumped anything Pokemon did.

The Digimon anime is better, but the Pokemon franchise as a whole is better.

Digimon World 1 and 2 were ****ing awesome, though.

Definitely the anime strictly.

My first pokemon game was Diamond, but I later EHMd all the gameboy ones and bought the one with Victini and the ice/dragon pokemon.
 
Digimon has nothing on Pokemon. Lets ask our friends from Dorkly and see what they think.

 
My original post was made in haste. This deserves a bit more attention.

Watching these shows as a child? They were incredible.

Watching these shows as an adult? That is another story entirely.

Nothing more than bloated, 20 minute toy commercials. However, under then right conditions (high), they have the potential to be amazingly funny.

He Man, Transformers, and Gi Joe are three of the funniest shows, albeit in isn't intentional. Some of the crap that goes on in these shows is completely and utterly devoid of any sense or logic.

For example:

Gi Joe - How is it possible that a guy flying a hang glider can out maneuver and shoot down a helicopter? This is only one example. A 20 minute episode is filled with WTF? moments.

Strangely enough Transformers actually makes more sense then Joe, and that show is about robots from another freaking planet.

Transformers - Guilty too of weird ****.

Why would a GIANT robot from another planet need to be rescued by an earth boy?

In the original clip Hound is trapped by rocks. Spike swims down, picks up a boulder that couldn't weigh less than 1,000 lbs, and they swim to the surface.

Hound then uh....helps Spike. I can't find the original clip, but you get the idea:



Again, 20 minute episodes are filled with "Why did they do that?" moments. These shows make Prometheus look like it was written by a genius:)
