47th anniversary today of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking and all hands lost at sea. This tragedy gave us a truly great song by a treasured Canadian which will live forever in haunting tribute. Gordon Lightfoot is an absolute gem.

“Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours?”

Attended the Kings and Knights games at Rogers Place this past week. First time I've been to games at the new arena (Been to a few dozen games at the old Coliseum). Gotta say it was impressive. Fan experience blows away anything Vancouver has ever done.

Love the Ford Hall and Molson Hockey House, really wish we had something like that in Vancouver.

Overheard a conversation at the liquor store today.

Guy 1: "Wayne Gretzky. He's that famous hockey player."
Guy 2: "I know who he is."
Guy 1: "Just making sure you did since you're American."
Guy 2: "Didn't he play on an American team?"
Guy 1: "I don't know."
Guy 2: "Yeah. Me neither."
