Great moment in hockey history!
One of my favorite moments. Larry Robinson certainly helped the Habs unseat the Bullies. I recall Dornhoefer saying he felt like he was gonna die after that hit.

''he broke the boards" Dornhoefer too. Hilarious to see the Flyers commentators on what would be considered a legal hit if any Flyer did it.

Robinson broke Dornhoefers arm on that hit I think. I remember Philly trying to fun the Habs out of the building when Montreal started their 4 year run, but the Habs had some muscle of their own in Robinson, Lapointe, Bouchard, etc. But Robinson in particular was a beast, took apart big bad Dave Schulz in a fight and that was it for the Flyers.
I remember that fight like it was yesterday! You could see the confidence of Schultzie erode quickly after that tilt. He was never the same.

Robinson never had to fight often, but when he did.

One of the nice memories was even though the Habs swept the Flyers in Philly the faithful there saluted the Habs as very worthy victors. They knew enough about hockey to see that their club was dismantled by a machine. I was surprised at the time they cheered the Habs and stuck around and cheered them getting the cup. Not even Kate Smith could help the Flyers in this one..;) The sign guy had no signs left to depict this loss.

Ran across this thread on Reddit about some people taking pot shots with pellet/bb guns in the Milbourne area of Edmonton. Even though I don't live there in EDM... just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone lives in that area and has kids walking/skateboarding in that area... they should be on the lookout for some of these people who are apparently randomly shooting at people.

People, make sure if you buy your drugs from unauthorized dealers that you make sure and pay in FULL and not in installments!;)

So I legit saw a ghost last night

I saw a ghost last night driving down the highway near MacQuesten river. In my headlights It looked like an older lady in a trench coat, and kinda looked like she was walking a dog along the shoulder of the road.

I even moved over to the on coming lane to give her space but as a got near where she would've been, her figure just disintegrated and vanished into thin air.

Very cool, I have heard a similar account from someone I know that happened many years ago.

This is one of the victims, before and after eating the tainted cereal. Name is John Wilson, a normal looking guy, working in a warehouse. After eating several bowls of LC, he became violently ill and his changed appearance was stunning.

Class action suit forthcoming.

Hockey Icon Guy Lafleur has passed away at the age of 70. He was the first superstar player that I was able to follow the whole career of starting with the Quebec Remparts beating the Edmonton Oil Kings in the memorial cup. That was the first Edmonton vs Montreal connection. Only in dreams did we believe much more was to come later.

RIP Guy, another great, passed the same week as Mike Bossy.

So its that favorite time of year. (sarcasm) tax returns. Being a luddite for years I was still doing paper returns but last dozen or more years have been using software. So here I was same thing as every year and I do everything to ensure its all setup. Even check into both the wife and I's CRA accounts and logins. Everything working. signed up with multiple authentication (as required) works, what could go wrong? haha...

My tax info automatically loads. eureka, this sometimes doesn't happen....feel like having a drink but I know the ordeal isn't over. Now onto the joint filing of my wifes account which NEVER automatically loads. So I do the same thing, software attempts to load data from CRA and NOTHING. Do it 3 times, each time it won't load hers, won't connect (even though we connected/ logged in with CRA immediately before.) Its giving me all kinds of error messages. Whatever it feels like (not currently available, you suck, I see you're from Alberta, and my favorite message we're f***ing with you)

Theres no logical reason hers doesn't load, but it happens 9/10 in tax returns. So I'm used to it. I have to do her return manually typing every amount in. Of course I must have f***ed up one T something form line and not till end of everything, ready to submit to CRA and I find out that is says my wife has paid 116K in Income tax. So close to finish line....somehow in the software it doesn't recognize this is an inane figure, that its obviously wrong, and not in anyway concurrent to income or other amounts. But it doesn't inform you you made a mistake typing something in, of course it doesn't let you know where. So I have to totally ditch hers, start over, go through every document and line to see where the mistake might be, correct and at the end of that still a mistake and I have to do hers a third time. Finally its all correct. But all this because hers never autoloads. Never.

But of course when you're ready to file and pay the piper theres no trouble netfiling the file. Loads with CRA pure as the driven snow. At that point it always loads always connects. When you're ready to pay, it connects..

The funny thing is I've spoken to CRA. Nothing is wrong. It should work. But every year my wifes return does not automatically fill/load to fill out her return. I'll be doing this every year and the same thing. I've tried different tax software, same thing. I know the issue is on CRA end but what?

This is half rant and wondering if others have similar problems.

Mama let him play was one of those songs that I think everyone back in the day had on their playlists and still do. Just awesome talent on display and all Canadian, baby! I tell you, the 70's was an absolute goldmine of Canadian talent, and that decade will likely never be matched.

Wow. You followed him further back than I did. Part of my childhood (75-79) was in Montreal and the vicinity. Was very lucky to witness that dynasty. Ken Dryden was my hero but Guy was a close second. A very sad day and especially for those of us that had watched him play live on tv or at the Forum. A remarkable player that was loved by many.

Do they go door to door now? ;)

As much as I was bitching I prefer online software which in I can complete the tax returns and even sign up for extras. My return is complicated, and I was surprised that nothing was missed in the autofill. Everything was there, perfect. Would have taken me 5-10mins of sitting down to do my return. My wifes return on the other hand....maybe I should send her to H&R block. ;)
