Heavy totals coming into SNE area overnight last night. No chance these totals arent upped today. 12-18 island wide is expected.
You have to turn to nowcasting at this point. SREF brings the jackpot zone to SNE now and Euro brings over a foot of snow to LI.

Just from looking at a map the more southern you are in Del the better you are. Seems like a steep gradient between getting well over a foot to less than 6 inches. Again that's just me looking at a snow map - I don't know the first thing about reading models and stuff.
Where in Del are you? We spend a lot of time in RB.

Not trying to highjack the thread but which GoPro did you get ? I've become obsessed with drones lately and want to get a Phantom 3 with a good GoPro camera.

Since I'm getting my weather news from this board already, might as well ask if you guys know when is it supposed to hit? I got tickets for Saturday night. I'm coming from Manhattan so as long as the subways are open, I will be there.
Its always possible that the subways get shut down but I don't think that would happen for 12 inches. If we start pushing 18, its a possibility.
I'm in the same boat as far as coming from Manhattan. I think it should be fine but I'd really prefer not being stranded in Brooklyn without the subway running.

Agressive northward lurch detected in the models starting last night and continued through today. So much so that mixing to sleet and rain is now a good possibility for long island, particularly south shore and east end for several hours late morning through the afternoon. this might suppress snowfall totals, but otherwise i think a good 6-12 inches possible with definite upside depending on convective snow bands and whatnot.
Early reports out of virginia show that the initial snow band has dumped as much as 6" of snow in 3 hours over a broad swath. expect a similar outcome here on long island.

barclays should be way more dead than usual for a saturday night game. at least this ensures no one will be taking the trip from philadelphia

That sounds awesome. I know I'm too old (53) for this **** but I'm totally obsessed with drones and wanna get one so much. Most of the Phantoms can be equipped with those great GoPro cameras.
