I don’t love the “Pujols in 2001” comparisons a lot of the media are throwing out there regarding Walker’s Spring. I know they’re only talking about how he forced himself on the team(though even Pujols needed an injury to make it), but Albert had one of the best rookie seasons ever and finished top 5 in the MVP voting. If these media personalities keep throwing out this comp people are going to be disappointed if he “only” has a .850 OPS season, which would be a phenomenal rookie year. I’m as excited as anyone, but for as amazing as he is, Walker is only 20 and has never played above AA. Let’s give him some time.

Let's reference a more recent example: Oscar Taveras. He was the second ranked prospect in the major leagues at the time where he got into the majors. He had a few moments in his rookie year where he showed his immense potential (including a 75 hit tool rating), but ultimately, he was sent down once, and did not hit very well.

If Walker eclipses Taveras' numbers and shows his immense potential, that's still a very solid year for a twenty-year-old rookie.

TON with 4 Runs, 4 ABs, 4 Hits, 4 RBIs, and walked twice today in a 18-8 won over GB. Bro went off today. Also looks to be playing CF for Canada as well.

For the first time in a decade, I'm actually excited about baseball season. The rule changes are going to make the game way more watchable for this guy who doesn't have a lot of time to sit down and watch ballgames in the evening.

4 OF for 3 spots and that’s not including Yep or Burly. I think Walker and Noot are locks for the corners.

I wonder if Yep and Gorman platoon at DH? Lefty / Righty matchups. Gorman can get extra AB’s at 2B and 3B also
