Agreed. Rodon, Bringing back Quintana, and there's a couple more SPs out there as well.I wouldn’t hate them seeing going after Rodon either

No that was Rodan. LolDidn't he fight Godzilla?
At least I was close lolNo that was Rodan. Lol
Please no Swanson. His BABIP was an extreme outlier and whoever signs him long term will regret it very quickly.I honestly think any off Swanson, Bogaerts, or Turner would be fantastic pickups for SS. Murphy from the As or Contreras would be good for the C position.
The nice thing about some players we have like Edman and Donovan is their ability to play the middle infield and the OF corners. Then we have nice young power hitters like Yepez and Gorman for the DH as long as they don't hit a wall and continue to hit like last year.
Definitely need Carlson and O'Neill (if they don't trade him) to be healthy this year tho.
any cheap 5 dollar dumpster dive versions of him available?Cardinals should trade whatever it takes outside of Winn and Walker to grab Ohanti. His massive marketability here and abroad should offset some of the cost of an extension and he would help the club in two of the ways we need it most... A reliable, strike out machine ace and a badass #3 left handed hitter to sandwich between Arenado and Goldschmidt giving the Cardinals probably the best 3 consecutive hitters of any lineup in the game while creating disastrous late game bullpen matchup problems for the opposing team.
99% complete pipedream but still...
There is no chance that the Angels take a deal that doesn't involve any organization's first overall prospect (Walker) and its likely that it'd require your first 2 or 3 top prospects, an MLB ready young player with upside and maybe more.Cardinals should trade whatever it takes outside of Winn and Walker to grab Ohanti. I'm torn. Jansen would definitely be an upgrade over Kiz. But, we are already kinda bare in the Outfield after O'Neill-Carlson-Nootbaar. Until Walker projects longterm in the OF and Burleson takes the next step.
I truly think Burleson is going to be a very good outfielder (first jersey I've ever bought of a prospect in any major sport). I'm just worried that they aren't ready yet. And then we go into next year with Walker-Carlson-Burleson and we find out they aren't anywhere close to ready.Burleson has been a plus hitter since we've drafted him, and he's developed a lot of power as well. Moises Gomez, who led the Minors in home runs, was added to the 40 recently. Walker is going to be in the outfield by 2023; it's only a matter of when. I could even see someone like Gorman take occasional reps in the outfield; he already has a good arm. We even signed Oscar Mercado to a minor league deal, and he could be another option.
We're not lacking in outfielders. I could even see us trading O'Neill as well as Nootbaar if Walker and Burleson prove to be as advertised.
He also made comments like that before Arenado and Goldy deals, if I recall correctly. I just don't even bother in reading what he says, at this point. It's not like Army, where Army won't show his cards, but he'll also be honest and insightful when he speaks. Mo just sort of says the same thing, very predictable.Really do not like those words from Mo. If we are going to spend assets to acquire Murphy, then we need to also be willing to spend money on real talent in our OF (and SP for that matter). Expecting Nootbaar to be an above average OF for 162 games is pretty foolish. Then, after that we have Carlson who I like and TON who could be great again or could be a total bust/hurt half the season.
The Central is going to be really bad again and we seemingly have a pretty clear path to another playoff berth but the way Mo is talking, it'll likely be another 3 game series and out unless Walker and/or Burleson hit the ground sprinting.
Yeah, he seems like quite an unlikeable chap to be totally honest. I don't have the hate-on most Cards fans do for him but he doesn't exactly brighten up the room.He also made comments like that before Arenado and Goldy deals, if I recall correctly.
