Meanwhile Kyler Murray declared for the NFL draft after winning the Heisman and being drafted by the A's in the 1st round and signing for $4.6 million. Will be interesting to see what happens with him. Personlly I don't think he'll be successful in the NFL.
How does that even work with the A's contract? Does he have to pay back the bonus?
I think there is often too big of a focus on size for QBs, but Murray is really small. Guys who scramble to extend plays get hurt a lot, guys who run a lot get killed. Big Ben and Rodgers are big dudes, and they've had their fair share of injuries running around extending plays. If Murray is running downfield all day, I don't think hes big enough to take the hits.
