Thoughts from Gens @ London:
-Well..... I did not see that coming. I said it on here but was going to hammer LDN -2.5 until they announced Gravelle was starting with Oster out and a bunch of people must've bet that because the line completely swung even more so you couldn't have made money betting LDN. So instead just went BAR moneyline and OSH/LDN over 7.5. Hockey gods saved me from that bet!
-The stats continue to not really back it up but Gravelle was very solid tonight. Obviously nobody needs to be told how lethal the LDN offence is and he stood tall several times and made he big save when it needed to be made.
-For those wondering, it's an MCL sprain for Oster and he wanted to play tonight but they held him out as a precaution. If it was a playoff game, he would've played. Was told he's a gametime decision tomorrow night. If he's 100% he'll go, if he's 95%, he will not. Personally I would go right back to Gravelle and give Oster a full week off and he can go next Thurs @ PBO
-Barlow has definitely turned a corner. Another multi point game and really should've gotten an assist on the Sennecke highlight reel goal because it was all set up by him backchecking and crushing Halttunen on the boards. 18 points in his last 16 games now with 12 goals, which means he's now on pace for 34 goals this season.
-Obviously the Sandhu and Danford hits completely changed the game and LDN didn't seem to have an answer for that, but the physical play started in the 1st period with Harrison Franssen throwing 2 big hits on Easton Cowan and Kasper Halttunen. The 4th line had a good game tonight and that's obviously huge going against a team as deep as LDN is.
-Does this win now make the Gens the best team in the league? No, I still think London is quite a bit better than everyone else in the league but at this point I think the Gens and Barrie are two of the only teams who could actually give them a series.
