OOT Scoreboard 2024-25 season

I'll worry about the OoT come February or March since this Devils team is for real, mainly for playoff seeding. I really want to avoid Tampa Bay because of 2018 PTSD and they're built to beat us but the East is absurdly wide open this year. There's no reason the Devils can win the East this year if Markstrom gets hot, the skaters are tremendous.

The only situation where we would face Tampa round 1 is if they end up WC1 and we win the Metro but finish behind Toronto or Florida.

It's almost certainly going to be Washington or Carolina round 1. Match ups with the highest odds of happening.

TB is terrifying. I think they have the best top end in the league. I also have a hard time seeing them finish in the WC rather than Boston. Winning the division and getting either Rangers or Boston would be huge

Idk man, I don't want to pencil games in hand as auto wins. People said that about NYR and they went like 1-5 stretch,I doubt the Canes or Caps get that cold but bad stretches happen in the NHL happen. Happened to us in 22-23.

Huh? We literally can't play Tampa 1st round outside of winning the Metro. First round is divisional. The most likely top 3 Metro finish is us some mix of us, Washington, and the Canes.

We are probably going to be 2nd or 3rd so we play whichever of Carolina or Washington that doesn't win the Metro.

Washington is for real and doesn't seem interested in losing and we don't play them again to give them more Ls

Just show the Hedman groin spear against Hischier on a repeating loop in the locker room. Offer $10 for each time someone returns the favor. Once he’s neutralized TB won’t be so tough. I’ll agree to chip in the first $50

I thought the Avalanche were on Long Island tonight, but I may have been just thinking that because the Kraken played there the night before us. They're in Detroit, which is a brutal trip for a back to back. It's a shorter bus ride (at night) from Long Island to Jersey City/Short Hills/wherever that particular team stays than it is to fly from Detroit to Newark, with probably 45 minutes combined of bus time to and from airports.

Yes I know how the playoff format works, I'm saying the Devils can easily win the Metro and get the WC1/2, you're assuming that the games in hand are auto wins since the Caps/Canes are better in P% where as I'm saying that those games could be losses lol

I'd rather play him than Wedgewood.

I'm not sure anybody else would though. Wedgewood is the biggest scrubbini goaltender that we constantly have given a career to out of compiling numbers against us.

Does he even have a single shutout that wasn't either with us or against us? He probably had a couple in Dallas over the last couple years.

We shall see. It's possible but I think we end up facing the Bruins or Rangers in that situation. Hard time seeing Tampa not end up 3rd in the Atlantic at worst.
