Vegas was in a weak conference and got an eastern team in the finals that goalied their way there. Florida was a Marchand breakaway in game 5 away from being done after 1 win, and they had an absurd overtime record that got them here.

Sucks to see Vegas win, they’ve been insanely reckless with their roster moves, treated players like shit, and have zero prospect pool. They’re going to more or less luck their way to a cup.

Agree with all of this. Vegas probably gets beaten by half the teams in the East. Florida plowed the road for them.

They will be bad for a while in the bot too distant future, I definitely don't agree with how they've gone about building their roster.

But outside of the Fleury thing I don't really understand the treating players badly point that always gets brought up. And if Fleury hadn't had a fluke one year renaissance he would have retired already and no one would have blinked.

This may be one of the most lopsided cup clinching games I can remember since the Kings beat us in 2012.

I can’t remember the 2021 clincher, was that a big blowout? The 2021 Canadiens were one of the worst cup finalists I’ve ever seen, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they were blown out of the building.

Edit - Nope. Even that was only a 1-0 win for Tampa.

Blues-Boston was pretty decisive from what I remember but that was a weird ass series anyway with almost every road team winning
