Did they really not have a post game tonight and go straight to some lame Marvel superhero movie?

That’s some ESPN level shit.

If this was a sweep and the finals ended tonight, would Gary’s cup handoff and congratulatory speech include how only fans in the building tonight will be able to see this special occasion live because TNT had guardians of the marvel universe galaxy 8?

Hill is looking really shaky. If they get a clean look at him this game will be tied.

Also Florida making those cross ice passes to the trailer coming in late and Vegas allowing it.

Roy and Marchessault both had chances to put the game away and missed.
I don't know why Florida thinks it can win the game by only playing one good period🤔 They played like stunads the first 2 periods👎

You might have been watching on TBS or Trutv. There was a full post game on TNT (the tbs and trutv simulcast aren’t airing the post game though)

I was at a (non-hockey watching) friend’s house and I asked him what channel TNT was on his TV. I got it on, but for some reason it went off and some Avengers movie came on.

Maybe I was watching on TBS? I just saw Stanley cup finals in the description and turned it on and it was the game.

The first channel I asked what TNT was and he told me, it was not TNT and some other channel.

Somebody threw a drink at me on the way out lol

For those keeping count at home this is the 3rd time in my life that's happened at a sporting event

Were you wearing a jersey? (I don’t mean this in a victim blaming sense lol)

Were they just rage throwing stuff randomly or were you targeted or hard to say?

What was the vibe? Lots mof Vegas fans?

You were definitely watching TBS

Two after thoughts:

1. Funny how Vegas has been more successful as the “physical” team than Florida. Tkachuk hits Eichel and Eichel returns. Kolesar lines up Tkachuk and all but takes him out of the series. Somebody else goes the same with Gudas earlier. Vegas is a very big team and such a mobile club.

2. As to Vegas shot blocking, like 30 or more per game the last two outings, mostly they block shots with their sticks. You don’t see Vegas players laying out to get hit by pucks, or kneeling in font of shots. They aren’t taking the shots on the shins. Rather it’s done by stick positioning technique. I’ve never seen a club better at that. They knock away the shots and don’t get hurt.

Florida is heavily penalized team and pesky team.

They don’t hit much though.

That isn’t the crux of my argument, those hitting stats ending being most interesting to me in how we played two series with some of the least hitting.

My main point is Vegas is THICC.

1st: Barbashev (6’1” 195) Eichel ((6’2” 207) Marchessault (5’9” 183)
2nd: Howden (6’2” 203) Stephenson (6’0” 209) Stone (6’3” 217)
3rd: Smith (6’1” 185) Karlsson (6’0” 190) Amadio (6’1” 204)
4th: Carrier (6’2” 218) Roy (6’4” 202) Kolesar (6’2” 217)

1st: Martinez (6’1” 210) Pietrangelo (6’3” 215)
2nd: McNabb (6’4” 215) Theodore (6’2” 197)
3rd: Hague (6’6” 230) Whitecloud (6’2” 207)

Extras:Teddy Blueger (6’0” 185), Phil Kessel (5’11” 208), Ben Hutton (6’3” 201)

The skill guys Vegas got in the expansion draft weren’t big but the team the team they built around them was built to be big AND fast. Vegas was a big trendsetter in the Heavy Play renaissance.

1st: Cousins (5’11” 192) Barkov (6’3” 215) Duclair (5’11” 197)
2nd: Verhaeghe (6’2” 180) Sam Bennett (6’1” 195) Tkachuk (6’2” 201)
3rd: Lomberg (5’9” 187) Lundell (6’1” 185) Reinhart (6’2” 193)
4th: White (6’1” 194) Staal (6’4” 195) Dalpe (6’2” 197)

1st: Forsling (6’0” 186) Ekbland (6’4” 215)
2nd: Staal (6’4” 208) Montour (6’0” 194)
3rd: Mahura (6’0” 185) Gudas (6’0” 208)

Extras: Luostarinen (6’3” 190), Fitzgerald (5’11” 188)

Vegas is actually not all that big, even some of their more notably physical guys aren’t particularly big. Built on scapes, they went with “hard to play against” rather than just size, which does lead to a lot of penalties.

I knew Vegas was beefy but I didn’t know Florida was this comparatively small. Elite Prospects has has Vegas’ averages at 6’2” and 202 lbs (6th) and Florida at 6’1” and 193 lbs (32nd). (Heights don’t vary that much with them, teams running from 6’2”-6’0”.)

Left Wing Lock have a (presumably) more precise “Effective” Weight (lbs/kg). Vegas is 3rd (204.5/92.8) and Florida is 27th (195.3/88.6).
We’re 26th (196.5/89.1).

They have “Effective” Height too (in/cm). Vegas is 5th (73.7/187.2) and Florida is 20th (73.3/186.2). We’re 19th (with the same numbers as Florida).

Since it was there, I threw “Effective” Age in there. Vegas is 8th (29.3/0.92) and Florida is 18th (28.4/0.9). We’re 26th (27.1/0.85).

On a plane that’s landing so bye.

I was wearing a Vegas hat and my wife had a red Vegas shirt, so we would have looked like panthers fans from behind. I have no interest in getting in a fight over something as stupid as a hockey game so I just kept walking before I found out if it was targeted or not. It could have been aimed for some fans wearing Vegas jerseys walking ahead of us but if so the thrower doesn't have much of a future in throwing things.

I'd say there were probably about 1k Vegas fans or so. Most panthers fans around us were pretty pleasant but people were definitely big mad walking out. They seemed indignant about the refs but I don't remember seeing many blatant missed calls live.

They finally dug themselves into a hole, three zip, too deep to climb out of. They even got one of the most bizarre bounces I’ve ever seen to get their comeback started.

If it wasn’t for Bobrovsky they’d have given up 5 or 6.

But their puck possession was much better in this game for long stretches of the first period and pretty much the entire third.

Vegas has been doing a lot of damage in their second periods throughout their playoffs. Plus getting ahead early in games.

When the Panthers finally got to their game last night it was just too late. That Tkachuk is maybe 20% Tkachuk also hurts them.

You would have to go to Tru tv to see that probably .... unless Buffy the Vampire Slayer was playing of course🤣
