I’ve brought this up multiple times throughout this season, and often wondered if Mc’s Crimmon and Phee were gonna be purged after this year if they didn’t win the cup. Foley also brought this up again I think before this season.anyone remember this?

I honestly didn’t take them seriously as a cup contender this season (I was also higher on Edmonton, who they beat) but I knew better before this round and picked them in 7.
I picked them to beat Winnipeg, because I declared Winnipeg out in 4 or 5 no matter who they played and I picked Edmonton and Dallas over them.
I shouldn’t have picked Dallas I don’t think. I overrated Oettinger as much as most of the hockey world.
No regrets on my Edmonton pick. I still think they’ll win the cup in the next 3 years, unless McDrai are out before that.
I'll also admit as an actual fan of the team I didn't really think Vegas had a shot this year. Particularly not with the goaltending situation they have.

Vegas was in a weak conference and got an eastern team in the finals that goalied their way there. Florida was a Marchand breakaway in game 5 away from being done after 1 win, and they had an absurd overtime record that got them here.
Sucks to see Vegas win, they’ve been insanely reckless with their roster moves, treated players like shit, and have zero prospect pool. They’re going to more or less luck their way to a cup.
