I still can't believe that Adin f***ing Hill is going to be a Cup winning goalie.
Goes to show that you really can have a total JAG in net and still win as long as he can string a few decent weeks together, and more importantly, the team in front is solid.
Wonder if Vegas thanks him for his service and sends him on his way and just goes back to a (presumably) healthy Logan Thompson next year, or if they retain him to keep the cup team together?
They can pull a Colorado and let him go like they did with Kuemper or pull a Dallas (who didn’t win) and sign him like they (foolishly) did with Khudobin, who was much older to be fair.
I know Kuemper wasn’t good last year in the playoffs, but I don’t think the plan was to ever keep him. He was a one year stop gap to go for the cup. They probably would have re-signed Grubauer the year before if they were gonna sign Kuemper long term, unless they had a hunch that showed his impending massive decline.
