Thanks for that. It's a subtle distinction that would be tricky for a native US English speaker to my ear. I know I'd botch it.Google "bonfire" in Finnish and you can listen in to the pronunciation.
Btw, atrocious call by the refs with 5 mins to go.
Oh yeah, defs a difficult one to pick up. Which is why Finnish is considered a quite difficult language to masterThanks for that. It's a subtle distinction that would be tricky for a native US English speaker to my ear. I know I'd botch it.
The Finns did a great job in the game today. The US was a decent favorite and only won on a late goal.Oh yeah, defs a difficult one to pick up. Which is why Finnish is considered a quite difficult language to master
Gold Medal game tomorrow at 1:30pm EST.
It was definitely a makeup call for the two blatant missed high sticks earlier in the period. The first US penalty in the third was pretty soft too.Absolutely brutal call leading to that goal. Refs deciding the game.
The Isles have almost as many GAA as the Devs but dont they have decent D, or at least Sorokin?
Thats how badly they get outplayed most nights. They are finding ways to win with finishing and goaltendingThe Isles have almost as many GAA as the Devs but dont they have decent D, or at least Sorokin?
I really expected help from the Coyotes. Bill Spaulding told me they might be a playoff team.Boston was really the only game where you expected any help so that sucks.
I'll take Philly dropping a point to a bottom feeder
Bleed will love this one...

Sweden with a late 2nd period PP goal, US maintains a 3-2 lead going into intermission. 3rd period will start ~3:20pm EST, definitely worth watching if you can.
Totally off topic, but this clip reminded me that Samuel L. Jackson was actually in Jurassic Park.
Guy is totally the most famous actor in that movie and arguably the most famous actor in Goodfellas, yet had such minor, insignificant roles in both films. He was pretty much an unknown back in the Goodfellas days and was still not much of a known until Pulp Fiction, which may have been the same year or the year after Jurassic Park.
That's one other reason that it's hard to believe the guy is 75 years old. Because he was pretty much an unknown prior to his 40s and the guy looks stupid young for 75, especially for a guy that doesn't really appear to have had a whole lot of work done to his face.
